Historique

History
The property forms a large rectangle enclosed by walls and bordered, in the lower part, by powerful buttresses at tidal level. A first manor was built, halfway up the slope, around 1670, comprising a main dwelling, farm buildings, a chapel, a dovecote, a fresh-water fishpond as well as terraced gardens. In the early 18th century, it was completed by a malouinière built lower down, towards the river, accompanied by a set of pleasure gardens. This residence of leisure presents certain architectural characteristics (apparent asymmetry of the facades, broken roof, atypical distribution) which reflect its adaptation to the site. The entire estate underwent careful restoration.
