Le domaine est saisi comme bien national à la Révolution mais conserve son intégrité spatiale. History
The château de la Briantais is first and foremost an exceptional site at the outlet of the Rance, whose history in the modern period is especially known from the second half of the 18th century with the construction, partly unfinished, of a castle - now ruined - surrounded by a vast formal garden. The estate is seized as national property at the Revolution but retains its spatial integrity.
