Cette maison était sans doute celle d'un riche bourgeois de la ville, Jeanne d'Albret ayant occupé le château vicomtal de Moncade. L'immeuble est constitué de deux bâtiments placés en équerre et formant un angle rentrant dans lequel se niche une tourelle contenant l'escalier a vis. Cette tourelle polygonale est coiffée d'un toit en forme de flèche. Des fenêtres à meneaux éclairent l'escalier. Du côté sud sont établies les dépendances dont une partie est construite en cailloux roulés. Plus loin, un pigeonnier très élevé, à pans de bois, est établi sur quatre piliers ronds. Des dalles de pierre placées en hauteur font obstacle aux rongeurs.

History
This house was undoubtedly that of a wealthy townsman, Jeanne d'Albret having occupied the vicomtal château of Moncade. The building consists of two buildings placed at right angles and forming a re-entrant angle in which is nestled a turret containing the spiral staircase. This polygonal turret is topped with a roof in the shape of a spire. Windows with mullions light the staircase. On the south side the outbuildings are arranged, part of which is constructed in rolled pebbles. Further on, a very tall dovecote, in timber framing, is built on four round pillars. Stone slabs placed at height act as a barrier to rodents.
