Cadw's description

Attached to the SE side of Argoed Mill Gallery, with the Old Post Office on the SE side.

Probably contemporary with adjacent mill, dated 1878, and shown on the 1889 Ordnance Survey.

Listed for its special interest as a well-detailed and well-preserved estate cottage, as part of a strong visual group of definite C19 character, and for its contribution to the overall historic character of Argoed hamlet.
