Cadw's description

Set back from the road junction between Four Ash Street, The Meadows and Chepstow Road.

Main barn of early C18 origin with lower later extensions. Before conversion was whitewashed and retained belt-driven machinery.

Barn converted to house. Built of stone rubble with squared quoins, steep-pitched slate roof with roof-lights and stepped ridge-line. An off-centre T-shape in plan, in 5 units, the rear wing an extension during conversion. The former barn was at centre right. Unit stepped down to left has 3 segmental arched openings with brick voussoirs. Casement windows with timber lintels and boarded doors.

Retained on list notwithstanding new use, as a sympathetic conversion retaining much of the historic fabric and character of the C18 barn.
