Omschrijving
O.L.Vrouw Onbevlekt Ontvangen. 1855-1856, Th.Molkenboer. Neogotische pseudobasiliek met transept. Toren met gedrongen vierkante klokkeverdieping, begeleid door ingezwenkte steunberen. Gepleisterd interieur met slanke bundelpijlers, in stucwerk uitgevoerde kapitelen, nissen met hooggotisch maaswerk boven de scheibogen en gestucadoord-houten kruisribgewelven. Hoogaltaar met grote retabel, waarin beelden, alles uitgevoerd in gemarmerd hout door Veneman in Den Bosch. Marmeren beelden van Mengelberg, koperen doopvont naar het voorbeeld van de 16e eeuwse vont te Zutphen door J.H.Brom, 1887-1888. Van oorsprong tweeklaviers mechanisch orgel gemaakt door L. Ypma in 1867. In 1900 gepneumatiseerd door de firma Hilboesen. Gerestaureerd in 1969 door de firma Adema-Schreurs waarbij de speeltafel wordt vervangen. Van monumentale waarde zijn de orgelkas en het oorspronkelijke, uit 1867 daterende, pijpwerk. O.L.Vrouw Onbevlekt Ontvangen. 1855-1856, Th.Molkenboer. Neo-Gothic pseudo-basilica with transept. Tower with squat square bell storey, flanked by swept-in buttresses. Plastered interior with slender bundle piers, capitals executed in stucco, niches with high-Gothic tracery above the arcade arches and stuccoed wooden cross-rib vaults. High altar with large retable, in which sculptures, all executed in marbled wood by Veneman in Den Bosch. Marble figures by Mengelberg, bronze font after the example of the 16th century font in Zutphen by J.H.Brom, 1887-1888. Originally two-manual mechanical organ made by L. Ypma in 1867. In 1900 pneumatised by the firm Hilboesen. Restored in 1969 by the firm Adema-Schreurs whereby the console is replaced. Of monumental value are the organ case and the original, dating from 1867, pipe work. Church and inventory form an important example of an early Neo-Gothic church interior from the period before Cuypers.
