Inleiding
"HEILIG PUTJE" uit 1919, vrijstaand, vooraan in het park. Uitgevoerd in neo-gotische stijl. De bron zelf is ouder maar met een later omhulsel in het park opgenomen. De engel is uitgevoerd in kunststeen door de firma Van Balgooy in 1919.
Omschrijving
Op een vierkante bakstenen sokkel geplaatst kraanhuis. De bakstenen vlakken zijn in gepleisterde omlijstingen gevat. Op de bovenkant van de sokkel is aan elke kant een klein uitbuikend bassin aanwezig, aan twee zijden is een kraantje aangebracht. Op het kraanhuis zijn plaquettes met opschrift: WILT GIJ GENEZEN ZIJN/O PELGRIM ZOO GEBRUIK - MARIA'S BAD ALTIJD/DIT BAD IS ALTIJD GOED - DIT BAD IS ALTIJD REIN/DAT ELKEEN ZICH DAN SPOED - NAAR DIT BAD DEES FONTEIN/AVE MARIA U BEHOED.
Daarboven staat een Engel onder een natuurstenen baldakijn met spitsbogen op smalle zuiltjes, bekroond door een spits met hogeltjes en een Mariabeeld (kopie van het genadebeeld van Handel) op de top.
Waardering
Het HEILIG PUTJE is van algemeen belang. Het object heeft cultuurhistorisch belang als uitdrukking van een geestelijke ontwikkeling en een toonbeeld van de Mariadevotie in Noord-Brabant. Daarnaast is het object van typologisch belang als onderdeel van een processiepark uit de vroege twintigste eeuw. Het park heeft architectuurhistorische waarden als voorbeeld van een parkaanleg met monumenten in diverse stijlen. Het heeft ensemblewaarden vanwege de situering en de samenhang met het kerkgebouw en de relatie met de ontwikkeling van Handel als bedevaartsoord en kloosternederzetting.

On the pump house are plaques with inscription: WILT GIJ GENEZEN ZIJN / O PELGRIM ZOO GEBRUIK - MARIA'S BAD ALTIJD / DIT BAD IS ALTIJD GOED - DIT BAD IS ALTIJD REIN / DAT ELKEEN ZICH DAN SPOED - NAAR DIT BAD DEES FONTEIN / AVE MARIA U BEHOED.
Above it stands an Angel under a natural stone baldachin with pointed arches on narrow columns, crowned by a spire with finials and a statue of Mary (copy of the statue of grace of Handel) on top.
