JACHTHUISJE behorende tot de historische buitenplaats Soestdijk. Het wit gepleisterde jachthuisje is in laat-Empirestijl gebouwd in 1834 voor de derde zoon van koning Willem II, prins Hendrik (zie gevelsteen: 'Den 1sten steen gelegd door Z.K. Hoogheid W.F.H. Prins der Nederlanden 31 October 1834'). Het huisje bestaat uit één bouwlaag met zwart geschilderde plint onder een rieten schilddak met groot overstek en keperlijst (driehoekige tanden) en is voorzien van een achtzijdige schoorsteen. De symmetrisch ingedeelde voorgevel heeft centraal een deur met bovenlicht geflankeerd door empirevensters. Het midden wordt geaccentueerd door een halfronde luifel op twee zich verjongende zuilen voor de ingang. Overige gevels met drieruits- en zesruitsdraaivensters.

JACHTHUISJE van algemeen belang vanwege:
- de cultuurhistorische waarde als herinnering aan prins Hendrik;

Component 18. Hunting Lodge. Description of component 18
HUNTING LODGE belonging to the historic country estate Soestdijk. The white-rendered hunting lodge was built in late Empire style in 1834 for the third son of King Willem II, Prince Hendrik (see facade stone: 'First stone laid by H.R.H. W.F.H. Prince of the Netherlands 31 October 1834'). The building consists of one storey with black-painted plinth under a thatched hipped roof with large overhang and chevron frieze (triangular teeth) and is provided with an octagonal chimney. The symmetrically arranged front facade has centrally a door with fanlight flanked by Empire windows. The centre is accentuated by a semi-circular canopy on two tapering columns in front of the entrance. Other facades with three-pane and six-pane casement windows.
