Onderdeel 17. Speelboerderij "'T KRAAYENEST".
SPEELBOERDERIJ "'T KRAAYENEST" behorende tot de historische buitenplaats Soestdijk. Het witgepleisterde gebouwtje is in laat-Empirestijl gebouwd in 1833 (zie gedenksteen: 'Den 1sten steen gelegd door H.K. Hoogheid W.M.S.L. 1833') als speelboerderijtje voor prinses Sophie, de dochter van Koning Willem II en Anna Paulowna. Tegenwoordig personeelswoning. Het op rechthoekige grondslag opgetrokken huisje heeft één bouwlaag met zwart geschilderde plint onder een rieten schilddak met groot overstek en keperlijst. De symmetrisch ingedeelde voorgevel bevat drie dubbele tuindeuren. Onder het ver overstekende dak zijn aan de voorzijde vier houten schermen geplaatst van latwerk, dat voorzien is van geometrische patronen in Chinese trant. De schoorsteen is achtzijdig en vertoont stijlkenmerken van de Engelse neogotiek. De overige gevels kennen een invulling van vier-, zes-, en achtruitsvensters en twee keldervensters met luiken in de linkerzijgevel.

Component 17. Play Farm "'T KRAAYENEST".
PLAY FARM "'T KRAAYENEST" belonging to the historic country estate Soestdijk. The white-rendered building was built in late Empire style in 1833 (see foundation stone: 'First stone laid by H.K. Highness W.M.S.L. 1833') as a play farm for Princess Sophie, the daughter of King Willem II and Anna Paulowna. Currently a staff residence. The building, erected on a rectangular ground plan, has one storey with black-painted plinth under a thatched hipped roof with large overhang and chevron frieze. The symmetrically arranged front facade contains three double French doors. Under the far-projecting roof, four wooden screens of lattice work are placed at the front, which is decorated with geometric patterns in Chinese style. The chimney is octagonal and shows stylistic features of English Neogothic. The remaining facades have four-, six-, and eight-pane windows and two basement windows with shutters in the left side facade.
