CHINESE KOEPEL op de historische buitenplaats Over Holland.
Houten achtzijdige witgeschilderde koepel op rode bakstenen onderbouw uit de tweede helft van de 18de eeuw, toen gebouwd ter vervanging van een oorspronkelijk hogere koepel. Bij de bouw van de Chinese koepel werd het bakstenen aardgewelf met bak voor wc-doeleinden als fundering gehandhaafd. De koepel wordt overkapt door een met riet gedekt puntdak op oorspronkelijke kruisbalk-gebintconstructie (gerestaureerd) met zeer ruim overstek waaronder licht golvend enigszins naar voren stekend lijstwerk. Op de nokpunt een globe. In de gevelvlakken meerruits schuifventers met halfronde bovenlichten met houten spaakroeden. De entreedeur aan de westzijde wordt voorafgegaan door een hardstenen bordestrap met drie treden en is uitgevoerd als de vensters, maar dan met een extra rij vensters aan de onderzijde. Rondom de koepel onder het maaiveld een IJsselstenen straatje met barok patroon, behorende bij de voorganger van deze koepel. Inwendig: paneelwerk en lambriseringen waarin kastjes. Restanten van de 18de-eeuwse beschildering met sierlijk ornamenteel patroon.

Description
CHINESE PAVILION on the historic country estate Over Holland.
Wooden eight-sided white-painted pavilion on a red brick base from the second half of the 18th century, built at that time to replace an originally taller pavilion. In the construction of the Chinese pavilion, the brick barrel vault with basin for toilet purposes was retained as foundation. The pavilion is covered by a pointed roof thatched with reed on original cross-beam roof truss structure (restored) with very generous overhang underneath which is slightly undulating somewhat projecting cornice. On the ridge a globe. In the facade panels multipane sash windows with semicircular fanlights with wooden spoke bars. The entrance door on the west side is preceded by a hardstone flight of steps with three treads and is executed as the windows, but with an extra row of windows at the bottom. Around the pavilion below ground level an IJsselsteen pavement with baroque pattern, belonging to the predecessor of this pavilion. Interior: panelling and wainscoting containing cupboards. Remnants of 18th-century decorative painting with elegant ornamental pattern.
