Omschrijving
ORANJERIE op de historische buitenplaats Over Holland.
Pal ten zuiden en evenwijdig aan de noordelijke oprijlaan gesitueerde oranjerie uit circa 1700. Het is een smal (5m.) lang (30m.) gerekt gebouw van een bouwlaag opgetrokken in rode baksteen onder een met Oud-Hollandse pannen gedekt schilddak met een beide zijden een hoge schoorsteen. De zuidgevel is voorzien van twee maal vijf tot even boven het maainiveau doorgetrokken openslaande ramen met zware binnenluiken. Aan weerszijden van de centraal gelegen dubbele meerruits-entreedeur met lijstwerk aan weerszijden. Deze entreedeur heeft soortgelijke binnenluiken. De ingangspartij wordt afgesloten door bakstenen blokpijlers, die ook als hoeklisenen aan deze gevel zijn aangebracht. De noordgevel is nagenoeg blind en wordt geleed door blindnissen. De beide zijgevels zijn eveneens blind eveneens met blindnisssen, zij het dat zich in de oostelijke zijgevel een dienstingang bevindt. Inwendig wordt de hoge ruimte overspannen door een enkelvoudige balklaag. Aan weerszijden van deze hoge ruimte, twee lagere ruimten, die oorspronkelijk dienst hebben gedaan als tuinmanswoning (westzijde) en knechtenwoning (oostzijde). Op de verdieping boven deze lage ruimten waren de bedstedes gesitueerd. De oranjerie werd in het begin van de 21e eeuw gerestaureerd, waarbij beide verblijfsruimtes in oude luister zijn hersteld. Tijdens de restauratiewerkzaamheden zijn aan weerszijden van de oranjerie de funderingen van een slingermuur teruggevonden. Deze restanten zijn in situ behouden.

De ORANJERIE VAN DE HISTORISCHE BUITENPLAATS OVER HOLLAND is van algemeen belang
- vanwege de cultuurhistorische waarde als gaaf bewaarde oranjerie uit de 18de- eeuw als uiting van een sociaal-economische en recreatieve ontwikkeling en traditie uit de 17de en 18de eeuw, waarbij vermogende particulieren uit oogpunt van exploitatie en vermaak de gronden aan weerszijden van de Vecht tot buitenplaatsen-landschap hebben ontgonnen.

Description
ORANGERY on the historical country estate Over Holland.
Orangery situated immediately to the south and parallel to the northern approach drive, dating from circa 1700. It is a narrow (5m.) elongated (30m.) single-storey building constructed in red brick beneath a hipped roof covered with Old Dutch tiles with a tall chimney on each side. The south gable is provided with two sets of five glazed doors extending down to just above ground level with heavy interior shutters. On either side of the centrally located double multi-pane entrance door with mouldings on both sides. This entrance door has similar interior shutters. The entrance section is terminated by brick block pilasters, which are also applied as corner lisenes to this gable. The north gable is virtually blind and articulated by blind recesses. Both side gables are likewise blind with blind recesses, although a service entrance is present in the eastern side gable. Internally the tall space is spanned by a simple beam layer. On either side of this tall space, two lower spaces, which originally served as gardener's lodge (west side) and servants' dwelling (east side). On the storey above these low spaces were located the sleeping recesses. The orangery was restored in the early 21st century, during which both residential spaces were restored to their original condition. During the restoration work, foundations of a serpentine wall were discovered on either side of the orangery. These remains have been preserved in situ.
