Inleiding
De toegang vanaf de openbare weg naar het schoolterrein ligt aan de zijde van de Vrolikstraat en bestaat uit een strakke, rechtgesloten, betonnen TOEGANGSPOORT. De route ernaartoe wordt aan de linkerzijde begeleid door een circa 21 meter lange en 2 meter hoge betonnen MUUR met marmermozaïek. Het stalen hek en de betonnen bank aan de andere zijde van de muur zijn recente toevoegingen.
Omschrijving
De toegangspoort bestaat uit twee omgekeerde L-vormen die elkaar in het midden raken. De route ernaartoe wordt aan de linkerzijde begeleid door een circa 21 meter lange en 2 meter hoge betonnen MUUR met marmermozaïek, het scheppingsverhaal verbeeldend. Dit mozaïek van gekleurde stukjes marmer is van de hand van Harry op de Laak. Aan de andere zijde is de muur wit- geschilderd en voorzien van een overstek met een betonnen bank eronder.
Waardering
De muur met toegangspoort is van algemeen belang:
- wegens de ensemblewaarde als complexonderdeel van het ontwerp waarbij het buitenterrein bewust is meegenomen in het ontwerpproces en als onlosmakelijk geheel met het gebouw zelf beschouwd moet worden;
