VOORMALIGE CHAUFFEURSWONING Deze voormalige chauffeurswoning werd in 1926 gebouwd als dienstwoning bij kasteel Ruurlo en bevindt zich als enige huis aan de onverharde Boomkamp ten noorden van het kasteel. Aan de westzijde van het huis werd in 1938 een schuurtje gebouwd. Het huis ligt volkomen vrij op een verhoging in het landschap en is omgeven door groen. Het woonhuis heeft een rechthoekige plattegrond en in kruisverband gemetselde gevels boven een hoog trasraam dat is afgesloten met een omlopende rollaag. Het huis heeft één bouwlaag en een zolderverdieping. Ter plaatse van de goothoogte van de lange gevels en de verdiepingsscheiding van de korte gevels bevindt zich een omlopende steens rollaag die is afgesloten met een uitgemetselde baksteenlaag. Het zadeldak is belegd met rode verbeterde Hollandse pannen en voorzien van geprofileerde houten windveren en zinken mastgoten. Op de nok bevindt zich een gemetselde schoorsteen. De dakschilden zijn aan elke kant voorzien van een dakkapel met een lessenaarsdak; aan de zuidwestzijde is dit een kleinere met een dubbel 9-ruits raam, aan de noordoostzijde heeft de dakkapel drie 9-ruits ramen. In beide gevallen is de dakkapel met rabatdelen uitgevoerd. De ingangsgevel is naar het noordoosten gericht en heeft in het midden een smal risalerend deel waarboven het dakschild iets is doorgetrokken zodat er een luifelconstructie is ontstaan. In het risaliet bevindt zich een voordeur met een 6-ruits raampje en rechts daarvan een klein 4-ruits zijlicht. Voor de voordeur ligt een klein bordes met rechts daarvan het kelderraam. Aan weerszijden van het risaliet bevindt zich een 9-ruits draairaam met een 3-ruits bovenlicht. De onderramen hiervan zijn voorzien van enkele luiken. De vensteropeningen worden aan de bovenzijde afgesloten met de reeds genoemde rollaag. Links van het raam in het rechterdeel van de gevel bevindt zich bovendien nog een klein rechthoekig raampje. Linker zijgevel: Deze korte gevel is, net als de andere korte gevel, voorzien van uitgemetselde schouders ter plaatse van de dakvoet. De gevel bevat op de begane grond een driedelig kozijn met drie 6-ruits draairamen en drie 2-ruits bovenlichten. Twee van de drie onderramen zijn voorzien van een luik. Rechts bevindt zich een tweedelig kozijn met dezelfde detaillering. Ook hier zijn de onderramen voor zien van luiken. De zolderverdieping bevat drie 9-ruits draairamen. De iets uitkragende geveltop is in hout uitgevoerd. De achtergevel heeft twee gekoppelde kozijnen met elk twee 9-ruits onderramen en twee 3-ruits bovenlichten. De onderramen zijn voorzien van luiken. De rechterzijgevel heeft links een klein aanbouwtje onder een lessenaarsdak, dat dateert uit 1964. Rechts van dit aanbouwtje, dat is voorzien van een zijdeur en een dubbel zijlicht, heeft de gevel één gekoppeld kozijn als in de achtergevel. De zolderverdieping heeft twee 9-ruits draairamen. De iets uitkragende geveltop is in hout uitgevoerd.

FORMER CHAUFFEUR'S DWELLING This former chauffeur's dwelling was built in 1926 as a service dwelling at Ruurlo castle and is the only house on the unpaved Boomkamp north of the castle. A small shed was built on the west side of the house in 1938. The house stands completely free on a raised site in the landscape and is surrounded by greenery. The residential house has a rectangular ground plan and walls built in bond above a tall ashlar course that is closed off with a continuous stone string course. The house has one storey and an attic storey. At the height of the gutters of the long facades and the storey division of the short facades there is a continuous stone string course that is closed off with a laid brick course. The gabled roof is covered with red improved Dutch tiles and provided with profiled wooden wind braces and zinc gutters. A masonry chimney is located on the ridge. The roof slopes are each provided with a dormer with a catslope roof; on the southwest side this is a smaller one with a double 9-pane window, on the northeast side the dormer has three 9-pane windows. In both cases the dormer is executed with rebated sections. The entrance facade faces northeast and has in the middle a narrow projecting section above which the roof slope extends slightly creating a canopy construction. In the projection is a front door with a 6-pane window and to the right a small 4-pane side light. In front of the front door is a small step platform with to the right of it the basement window. On either side of the projection is a 9-pane casement window with a 3-pane fanlight. The bottom windows are provided with single shutters. The window openings are closed at the top by the aforementioned string course. To the left of the window in the right part of the facade there is also a small rectangular window. Left side facade: This short facade is, like the other short facade, provided with laid shoulders at the eaves. The facade contains on the ground floor a three-part frame with three 6-pane casement windows and three 2-pane fanlights. Two of the three bottom windows are provided with a shutter. To the right is a two-part frame with the same detailing. Here too the bottom windows are provided with shutters. The attic storey contains three 9-pane casement windows. The slightly projecting gable top is executed in wood. The rear facade has two coupled frames each with two 9-pane bottom windows and two 3-pane fanlights. The bottom windows are provided with shutters. The right side facade has on the left a small extension under a catslope roof, which dates from 1964. To the right of this extension, which is provided with a side door and double side light, the facade has one coupled frame as in the rear facade. The attic storey has two 9-pane casement windows.
