KOEPEL behorende tot de buitenplaats Oostermeer. In de meest zuidelijke punt van de parkaanleg staat een theekoepel. Deze vormt, vanaf het voorplein gezien, de visuele afsluiting van een dwarsas, die begint op het voorplein en vervolgens evenwijdig aan de Amsteldijk loopt. Vanuit de theekoepel was oorspronkelijk zicht op de Amstel en het omringende weidegebied. De zeszijdige koepel staat op een gemetseld rood bakstenen basement, waarin zich een eenvoudige deur bevindt die toegang geeft tot een bergruimte onder de koepel, en is verder opgetrokken uit hout. Het dak is van zink. De entree tot de koepel ligt in het verlengde van de dwarsas, bestaat uit een dubbele beglaasde paneeldeur en is toegankelijk via een houten trap van negen treden met elegant gesneden balustrade. De koepel wordt overhoeks geleed door pilasters en afgesloten met een kroonlijst. De verschillende zijden zijn voorzien van een spaarveld met daarboven een venster, dat gedeeld wordt door een middenspijl. Description
PAVILION belonging to the country estate Oostermeer. At the most southern point of the park layout stands a tea pavilion. This forms, viewed from the forecourt, the visual closure of a cross axis, which begins on the forecourt and then runs parallel to the Amsteldijk. From the pavilion there was originally a view over the Amstel and the surrounding meadow area. The six-sided pavilion stands on a masonry red brick basement, in which there is a simple door that provides access to a storage space under the pavilion, and is further constructed of wood. The roof is of zinc. The entrance to the pavilion lies in the extension of the cross axis, consists of a double glazed panel door and is accessible via a wooden flight of nine steps with elegantly carved balustrade. The pavilion is articulated diagonally by pilasters and closed off with a cornice. The various sides are provided with a spare field with above it a window, which is divided by a central mullion. Above the windows double wooden boards, which serve as sun blinds and burglar protection. The lower board can be drawn as a sliding shutter over the window below it.
