INRIJHEK behorende tot de buitenplaats Oostermeer. Het voorplein wordt afgesloten door een sierlijk, smeedijzeren hek tussen twee monumentale, hardstenen pijlers. Het symmetrische hek bestaat uit twee draaibare delen in het midden en vaste delen aan weerszijden. Het smeed- en snijwerk in Lodewijk XIV-stijl is van zeer hoge kwaliteit. Het smeedwerk vertoont een barok patroon van krullen en geometrische motieven. Boven het draaibare gedeelte is in vergulde letters de naam Oostermeer aangebracht. De rijk uitgevoerde, robuuste pijlers worden bekroond door urnen met karakteristieke oren. Ze worden mede op basis van deze oren toegeschreven aan Ignatius en Jan van Logteren. Hek en pijlers dateren uit de bouwtijd, omstreeks 1728.

Description
ENTRANCE GATE belonging to the country estate Oostermeer. The forecourt is closed off by an elegant, wrought iron gate between two monumental hardstone piers. The symmetrical gate consists of two rotating parts in the middle and fixed parts on either side. The wrought and cut work in Louis XIV style is of very high quality. The wrought work displays a baroque pattern of scrolls and geometric motifs. Above the rotating section the name Oostermeer has been applied in gilded letters. The richly executed, robust piers are crowned by urns with characteristic ears. They are attributed to Ignatius and Jan van Logteren also on the basis of these ears. Gate and piers date from the construction period, around 1728.
