TUINORNAMENT EN VIER VAZEN, behorende bij de historische buitenplaats De Paauw. Het 19de-eeuwse marmeren ORNAMENT staat voor de voorgevel van het hoofdgebouw en bestaat uit een fontein in de vorm van een drinkbak (kuip met aan weerszijden twee met de koppen naar elkaar toe liggende leeuwen op rechthoekige sokkels. Het ensemble was een geschenk van Tsaar van Rusland Alexander II aan Prins Frederik. In 1925 werd het door de toenmalige eigenaar de heer Chabot aan de gemeente Wassenaar ten geschenke gegeven. Een oude tekening toont het leidingensysteem onder meer naar de drinkbak die als een fontein functioneerde. De VIER VAZEN (giet- en smeedijzer) staan opgesteld op het bordes voor het hoofdgebouw. Het zijn kelkvormige vazen met dubbel handvat met mascaron op de buik en met guirlandes en bloemranken op de hals. De vazen dateren uit de tweede helft van de 19de eeuw.

GARDEN ORNAMENT AND FOUR VASES, belonging to the historical country estate De Paauw. The 19th-century marble ORNAMENT stands before the front façade of the main building and consists of a fountain in the form of a drinking trough (basin with on either side two lions with their heads towards each other on rectangular plinths). The ensemble was a gift from the Tsar of Russia Alexander II to Prince Frederik. In 1925 it was presented by the then owner Mr. Chabot to the municipality of Wassenaar. An old drawing shows the pipe system to, among other things, the drinking trough which functioned as a fountain. The FOUR VASES (cast and wrought iron) are arranged on the terrace before the main building. They are chalice-shaped vases with double handle with mascaron on the belly and with garlands and flowering vine scrolls on the neck. The vases date from the second half of the 19th century.
