HISTORISCHE TUIN- EN PARKAANLEG behorende tot de buitenplaats Overduin. Deels in structuur en deels in detail gaaf bewaarde aanleg in landschapsstijl uit ca.1839, toegeschreven aan tuinarchitect K.G. Zocher, met oudere elementen. De landschappelijke aanleg is gelijk met de bouw van het huis in 1839 tot stand gekomen. Hierbij is de huisplaats iets in zuidoostelijke richting verplaatst en de oriëntatie van het huis met 180 graden gedraaid. Resultaat hiervan is dat een groot ruimtelijk effect is bereikt tussen het open landschap (wei- en bouwlanden), het huis en het achterliggende Prince- of Oranjebos dat als coulisse werkt.
Tussen de weilanden loopt een rechte oprijlaan als een diagonaal naar het huis; deze laan vormde oorspronkelijk de achteruitgang van de 18de-eeuwse buitenplaats, bij de portierswoning maakt de laan een slinger om een afgerasterde weide (hertenkamp) naar het huis. De hertenkamp is ingericht met een boomgroep en door bomen (links bosje, rechts bomen van de oprijlaan) omzoomd.
Achter het huis ligt een besloten landschappelijke aanleg met een gazon ingericht met deels oude boomgroepen en coulissewerking van het parkbos grenzend aan een serpentinevijver, die het structuur bepalende element vormt. De vijver is een vergraving van twee oude waterbassins daterend uit de 18de-eeuwse formele aanleg de twee bassins in het oorspronkelijke sterrenbos zijn vergraven tot een waterpartij. Romantisch wandelpark, meanderende beek, zichten over de vijver en zichten maar buiten toe, waaronder een zicht op de rode tent. Slingerende wandeling door het parkbos. Naast het huis een gazon met treurwilg aan klein vijver, daarachter boomcoulissen.
Aan de westzijde een rechte laan (dreef) in noordwaartse richting naar het Prince- of Oranjebos. Deze voormalige toegangslaan van het 18de-eeuwse huis werd oorspronkelijk geflankeerd door twee langwerpige vijvers, waarvan de westelijke in ca.1943 is gedempt. Het Prince- of Oranjebos vormt het oudste onderdeel van de buitenplaats en wordt reeds in 1612 omschreven als een gebied bestaande uit elzen- en wilgenhakhout. Waarschijnlijk is het bos door de Heren van Veere aangelegd. In de 19de eeuw wordt het bos toegevoegd aan het bezit van Overduin. Het bos is zeker tot in de eerste decennia van de 19de eeuw als hakhout beheerd (5-jarige kapcyclus). In het bos bevinden zich thans nog meer dan 200 jaar oude hakhoutgroeperingen, solitaire eiken en oosterse platanen als onderdeel van de oorspronkelijke beplanting. Tevens ligt in het bos een vijver, de zogenoemde Princevijver, mogelijk een restant van een middeleeuwse kreekbedding.

HISTORIC GARDEN AND PARK LAYOUT belonging to the country estate Overduin. Partially in structure and partially in detail well-preserved layout in landscape style from ca.1839, attributed to landscape architect K.G. Zocher, with older elements. The landscape layout was created simultaneously with the construction of the house in 1839. In this process the house site was moved slightly in a south-easterly direction and the orientation of the house was rotated 180 degrees. The result is that a great spatial effect has been achieved between the open landscape (meadow and arable lands), the house and the Prince or Orange wood behind it which acts as a backdrop.
Between the meadows runs a straight driveway as a diagonal towards the house; this lane originally formed the rear entrance of the 18th-century country estate, at the porter's lodge the lane makes a curve around a fenced meadow (deer park) towards the house. The deer park is laid out with a group of trees and bordered by trees (left copse, right trees of the driveway).
Behind the house lies an enclosed landscape layout with a lawn arranged with partly old tree groups and backdrop effect of the park wood bordering a serpentine pond, which forms the structure-determining element. The pond is an enlargement of two old water basins dating from the 18th-century formal layout; the two basins in the original star wood were enlarged into a water feature. Romantic walking park, meandering stream, views over the pond and views outward, including a view of the red tent. Winding walk through the park wood. On the west side a straight lane (avenue) in a northerly direction towards the Prince or Orange wood. This former access lane of the 18th-century house was originally flanked by two elongated ponds, of which the western one was filled in ca.1943. The Prince or Orange wood forms the oldest part of the country estate and is already described in 1612 as an area consisting of alder and willow coppice wood. It is likely that the wood was laid out by the Lords of Veere. In the 19th century the wood was added to the property of Overduin. The wood was certainly managed as coppice at least until the first decades of the 19th century (5-year cutting cycle). The wood currently contains more than 200-year-old coppice groupings, solitary oaks and oriental plane trees as part of the original planting. Also located in the wood is a pond, the so-called Prince pond, possibly a remnant of a medieval creek bed.
