Omschrijving
KOETSHUIS behorende tot de buitenplaats Overduin. Nabij het hoofdgebouw staat een koetshuis uit ca.1839 toegeschreven aan architect K.G. Zocher. Het op rechthoekige plattegrond opgetrokken geel gepleisterde huis met bakstenen plint bestaat uit anderhalve bouwlaag onder een met Oegstgeester pannen gedekt zadeldak met topgevels; het koetshuis is ondergebracht in het brede, vooruitspringende middendeel, dit deel met hoge hardstenen plint; aan weerszijden hiervan een woning. De voorgevel (zuid) wordt gedomineerd door een breed middenrisaliet met hoekblokken (natuursteen-imitatie) dat met een driezijdig fronton onder een flauw hellende zadeldak met overstek boven de daklijst uitsteekt. In het fronton een klein rond venster met spaakroeden. In het risaliet twee grote dubbele inrij paneeldeuren met aan de bovenzijde rechthoekige lichten. Aan weerszijden van het risaliet bevindt zich een woning met zesruitsvensters en in het rechter deel drie dakkapellen die boven de daklijst uitsteken (Vlaamse gevel). De beide zijgevels hebben in de top een driedeling venster waarvan het middendeel voorzien is van een boogvormige afsluiting (Serliana-motief). In het INTERIEUR is onder meer de kapconstructie van belang.

COACH HOUSE belonging to the country estate Overduin. Near the main building stands a coach house from ca.1839 attributed to architect K.G. Zocher. The building erected on a rectangular ground plan, yellow-plastered house with brick plinth consists of one and a half storeys under a gabled roof with end gables covered with Oegstgeester tiles; the coach house is housed in the broad, projecting central section, this part with high ashlar plinth; on either side of this a dwelling. The front facade (south) is dominated by a broad central risalit with corner blocks (natural stone imitation) that projects with a three-sided pediment under a shallow-pitched gabled roof with overhang above the cornice. In the pediment a small round window with spoke glazing bars. In the risalit two large double sliding panel doors with rectangular fanlights at the top. On either side of the risalit is a dwelling with six-pane windows and in the right part three roof dormers projecting above the cornice (Flemish gable). Both side facades have a three-part window arrangement at the top, with the central part provided with a arched closure (Serlio motif). In the INTERIOR the roof truss structure is notably of importance.
