Omschrijving onderdeel 2 HISTORISCHE TUIN- EN PARKAANLEG.
De geheel door water omgeven parkaanleg van Ter Wadding kenmerkt zich door een aanleg in vroege landschapsstijl, waarin een enkel spoor van een oudere aanleg herkenbaar is gebleven. Dit spoor betreft het kanaal op de as van het huis aan de achterzijde, waarvan de rechte oevers vòòr 1821 (Kadastraal Minuutplan) een flauw curvend verloop kreeg. Ook de westoever van de rechte scheisloot naar de weg kreeg toen een verloop in curven. Rondom de waterpartij aan de achterzijde van het huis werd zeer waarschijnlijk vòòr bovengenoemde datum een licht geaccidenteerde nog geheel bewaard gebleven wandeling met vrij kleinschalig patroon van slingerpaden aangelegd met een rijk bestand aan parkbomen (taxodium, eik, beuk, iep, kastanje, plataan, ginko, metasequioa, glyptomeria). Een aantal van deze meer exotische soorten dateert uit de tweede helft van de 19de eeuw, in de tijd (1855-1887) dat de buitenplaats in het bezit was van Lodewijk Johannes Sigismund van Kempen. Na 1900 werd de aanleg noordzijde een stukje uitgebreid, in de tijd dat aan deze zijde langs de weg het nieuwe koetshuis met koetsierswoning werd gebouwd. Description of component 2 HISTORIC GARDEN AND PARK LAYOUT.
The park layout of Ter Wadding, entirely surrounded by water, is characterized by a layout in early landscape style, in which a single trace of an older layout has remained recognizable. This trace concerns the canal on the axis of the house on the rear side, whose straight banks received a gently curving course before 1821 (Cadastral Minute Plan). Also the west bank of the straight boundary ditch towards the road then received a curved course. Around the water feature on the rear side of the house, very probably before the aforementioned date, a lightly undulating still entirely preserved walk with a fairly small-scale pattern of winding paths was laid out with a rich stock of park trees (taxodium, oak, beech, elm, chestnut, plane, ginkgo, metasequoia, glyptostrobus). A number of these more exotic species date from the second half of the 19th century, at the time (1855-1887) when the country estate was owned by Lodewijk Johannes Sigismund van Kempen. After 1900 the layout on the north side was extended somewhat, at the time when the new coach house with coachman's dwelling was built on this side along the road. In the layout of the path pattern and planting of the park woodland, a seamless connection to the then already existing layout was achieved. In the south side of the grounds lies the rectangular open space of the former orchard and vegetable garden.
