Omschrijving onderdeel 3: ZANDSTRAND/GAZON.
Het zandstrand/gazon omvat het waterbassin aan de noord-, oost- en westzijde en versmalt zich aan de korte zijden (oost en west) in zuidelijke richting. Vanaf het wateroppervlak lopen zandstrand en gazon langzaam op en omvatten als een kragend talud het waterbassin aan drie zijden. Het zandstrand met gazon ligt sedert circa 1990 op de plaats van het (oorspronkelijke) zandstrand.
Waardering
Het ZANDSTRAND/GAZON langs de noord-, oost- en westzijde van het waterbassin vertegenwoordigt het algemeen belang wegens:
- de ouderdom;
- de eenduidige betrokkenheid op de functies van het complex;
- de praktische en doelmatige vormgeving;
- de cultuurhistorische betekenis, zijnde een door mensenhand vervaardigde proeve uit de crisisjaren, als project van de werkverschaffing, uit de jaren '30 van de twintigste eeuw.

Description of component 3: SANDY BEACH/LAWN.
The sandy beach/lawn comprises the water basin on the north, east and west side and narrows on the short sides (east and west) in a southerly direction. From the water surface the sandy beach and lawn slope gradually upwards and envelop the water basin like a projecting embankment on three sides. The sandy beach with lawn has since approximately 1990 been located on the site of the (original) sandy beach.
Valuation
The SANDY BEACH/LAWN along the north, east and west side of the water basin represents general importance because of:
- age;
- the unambiguous involvement in the functions of the complex;
- the practical and purposeful design;
- the cultural-historical significance, being a man-made example from the crisis years, as a project of work provision, from the 1930s of the twentieth century.
