Ten oosten van het hoofdgebouw van Oud Amelisweerd ligt aan de Kromme Rijn het markante boerderij-ensemble 'De Zonnewijzer', bestaande uit een boerderij, zomerhuis, rietgedekte kapberg en schuur.
Omschrijving
Rechts van de boerderij een SCHUUR, samengesteld uit een rechthoekig, uit rode baksteen opgetrokken bouwvolume onder een zadeldak gedekt met gesmoorde Hollandse pannen en twee lagere bouwvolumes ter weerszijden, opgetrokken uit zwart geteerde houten planken, thans gedekt door golfplaat (de rechtervleugel is mogelijk 20ste eeuws). Het bakstenen middendeel is aan de rivierzijde voorzien van twee halfronde stalvensters; aan de andere zijde een dubbele inrijdeur.

SCHUUR, deeluitmakend van een ensemble van boerderij, zomerhuis, rietgedekte kapberg en schuur behorende tot de buitenplaats Oud Amelisweerd is van algemeen belang:

To the east of the main building of Oud Amelisweerd, on the Kromme Rijn, lies the striking farmyard ensemble 'De Zonnewijzer', consisting of a farmhouse, summer house, reed-thatched cart shed and barn.

To the right of the farmhouse a BARN, composed of a rectangular building block constructed of red brick under a gabled roof covered with smoked Dutch tiles and two lower building blocks on either side, constructed of black tarred wooden planks, now covered with corrugated sheeting (the right wing is possibly 20th century). The brick central section is provided on the riverside with two semicircular stable windows; on the other side a double entrance door.
