HISTORISCHE TUIN- EN PARKAANLEG behorende tot de buitenplaats Voorwijk is van oorsprong en in opzet nog herkenbaar in Hollands-classisitische tuinstijl aangelegd. Centraal aan de voorzijde van het huis en geflankeerd tussen de spiegelbeeldig van elkaar gepositioneerde bouwhuizen een cirkelvormige oprit. De voorzijde van de plaats wordt vanouds afgebogen door een rij linden. Daar waar zich oorspronkelijk de hoofdas van de aanleg bevond (vgl. Topografische en Militaire kaart uit 1851), bevindt zich nu een houtwal, die als coulisse het doorzicht in landschapsstijl vanuit het huis over het weiland in noordwestelijke richting begrensd. Gezien vanaf de voorzijde wordt het binnenpark aan weerszijden door een houtwal begrensd. De westelijke, met eiken beplante wal is oorspronkelijk, en als zodanig nog herkenbaar, een formele laan die naar Dickninge voerde en die van vòòr de aanleg van Voorwijk dateert. Aan weerszijden van het door hout begrensde binnenpark een door hout omgeven weiland. Vanuit het binnenpark zijn er op deze twee weilanden enkele doorzichten. In het binnenpark aan de achterzijde van het huis zijn delen van een 19de-eeuwse aanleg in landschapsstijl herkenbaar, waaronder een monumentale tulpenboom (de oudste in ons land), een monumentale beuk en Noorse es. Aan de achterzijde wordt het park afgesloten door een strook geaccidenteerd parkbos (eik, beuk en hulst) met slingerpaden en een kleine vijver in landschapsstijl, een gaaf bewaard slingerbos uit het einde van de 18de eeuw. Aangrenzend aan de zuidzijde van dit bos een recht pad (Dickningerpad) aan weerszijden met eik beplant, waarvan de aanleg en beplanting uit het einde van de 18de eeuw dateert.

HISTORIC GARDEN AND PARK LAYOUT belonging to the country estate Voorwijk is in its origins and layout still recognizable as being laid out in the Dutch Classical garden style. Centrally on the front side of the house and flanked between the mirror-symmetrically positioned outbuildings a circular drive. The front of the estate has traditionally been bounded by a row of linden trees. Where originally the main axis of the layout was located (see Topographical and Military map from 1851), there is now a tree belt, which as a vista screen bounds the view in landscape style from the house over the meadow in a north-westerly direction. Viewed from the front, the inner park is bounded on either side by a tree belt. The western tree belt, planted with oaks, is originally, and as such still recognizable, a formal avenue that led to Dickninge and that dates from before the laying out of Voorwijk. On either side of the tree-bounded inner park a meadow surrounded by woodland. From the inner park there are some vistas onto these two meadows. In the inner park on the rear side of the house parts of a 19th-century layout in landscape style are recognizable, including a monumental tulip tree (the oldest in our country), a monumental beech and Norwegian ash. On the rear side the park is closed off by a strip of undulating park woodland (oak, beech and holly) with winding paths and a small pond in landscape style, an intact preserved wandering woodland from the end of the 18th century. Adjoining the south side of this woodland a straight path (Dickningerpad) bordered on either side by oaks, the laying out and planting of which dates from the end of the 18th century.
