Omschrijving onderdeel 1
Twee verdiepingen tellend onderkelderd LANDHUIS (Huis Voorwijk), opgetrokken uit schone baksteen op rechthoekige plattegrond en gedekt door een afgeknot, met blauwe Hollandse pannen belegd afgeplat schilddak met vier hoekschoorstenen met borden; in elk der dakschilden één of twee kapellen met meerruitsverdeling; de kapel aan voorzijde het rijkst uitgevoerd: met wangen, driehoekig fronton en (draai)ramen met vijftienruits verdeling; voorts gepleisterde plint; keldervensters met en zonder luiken; geprofileerde omlopende lijstgoot op houten klossen; muurankers. Oorspronkelijk bestond het huis uit een hoog voorhuis en laag achterhuis. Het achterhuis werd omstreeks 1870 met een verdieping verhoogd en werd toen evenals het voorhuis overkapt door een eigen schilddak. De verbouwing van beide daken tot het huidige afgeplatte dak vond plaats in de jaren '30 van de 20ste eeuw. De vijf traveeën brede voorgevel met hoeklisenen en even uitgemetselde middenrisaliet; hardstenen stoep geflankeerd door schilddragende stenen leeuwen. In de voorgevel beganegronds een centrale ingangspartij met vleugeldeur (panelen onder; voor het overige glas); decoratief bovenlicht met Lodewijk XVI details; geprofileerde houten omlijsting; aan weerszijden twee lichtgetoogde vensters met meerruits(schuif)ramen; op de verdieping vijf vergelijkbare vensters. In de linker- en rechterzijgevel vensters van verschillende maat en verdeling. In de linkerzijgevel, ter plekke van de vroegere dienstingang, een deur met korfboogvormig bovenlicht; hardstenen trap. Terzijde klein berghok onder plat dak; tweeruitsraam en houten deur onder korfboog. In de vijf traveeën brede achtergevel (vernieuwd 1866) beganegronds centrale ingangspartij met vleugeldeur (panelen onder; voor het overige glas en tweeruits bovenlicht); aan weerszijden een openslaande deur en een venster met achtruits(draai)ramen; bakstenen terras. Op de verdieping zesruitsschuiframen. Het merendeel der raam- en deuropeningen lichtgetoogd en onder 1 1/2-steens strek; ten dele persiennes. INTERIEUR. Het huis verkeert inwendig nog voor een deel in de oorspronkelijke staat. In het interieur zijn ondermeer van belang: de centrale met marmeren tegels belegde gang; stucdecoraties (daaronder lijstwerk, kuiven en medaillons verwijzend naar de jacht); geprofileerde deuren en deuromlijstingen. In de voorsalon onder meer een afkomstige houten schouw met schilderstuk (vaas met bloemen) en stucplafond met florale versiering; vouwblinden met kasten. In de gang, op de scheiding tussen voor- en achterhuis, een korfboogvormige toog met profiellijst, kapiteeltjes en kuifbekroning. In de opkamer een gehout plafond met geometrische patronen. Een 19de-eeuwse houten trap met tussenbordes vormt de verbinding met de verdieping. In de gang op de verdieping gehouten paneeldeuren met kozijnen uit de bouwtijd van het huis.
Waardering
Huis Voorwijk is van algemeen belang vanwege de cultuurhistorische waarde, de architectuurhistorische waarde en de ensemblewaarde.

Two-storey undercellared COUNTRY HOUSE (Huis Voorwijk), constructed of fine brickwork on a rectangular ground plan and covered by a truncated, hipped roof clad with blue Dutch tiles with four corner chimney stacks with caps; in each of the roof slopes one or two roof lights with multi-pane glazing; the roof light on the front side most richly executed: with curved brackets, triangular pediment and (pivot) windows with fifteen-pane glazing; furthermore rendered plinth; cellar windows with and without shutters; moulded drip moulding on wooden corbels; ornamental wall anchors. Originally the house consisted of a high front wing and low rear wing. The rear wing was raised by one storey around 1870 and was then, like the front wing, covered by its own hipped roof. The conversion of both roofs to the present truncated roof took place in the 1930s. The five-bay-wide front facade with corner lisenes and evenly detailed central projection; stone steps flanked by stone-bearing lions. In the front facade on the ground floor a central entrance section with double door (panels below; glass otherwise); decorative fanlight with Louis XVI details; moulded wooden frame; on either side two round-headed windows with multi-pane (sash) windows; on the first floor five similar windows. In the left and right side facades windows of various sizes and divisions. In the left side facade, at the location of the former service entrance, a door with segmental arch fanlight; stone staircase. To the side a small storage shed under a flat roof; two-pane window and wooden door under segmental arch. In the five-bay-wide rear facade (renewed 1866) on the ground floor central entrance section with double door (panels below; glass otherwise and two-pane fanlight); on either side a glazed door and a window with eight-pane (pivot) windows; brick terrace. On the first floor six-pane sash windows. The majority of the window and door openings round-headed and under 1½-brick arch; partly with shutters. INTERIOR. The house internally still retains much of its original condition. In the interior are notably: the central hallway laid with marble tiles; stucco decorations (including moulding, cartouches and medallions referring to hunting); moulded doors and door frames. In the front parlour among others a wooden fireplace surround of original manufacture with painting (vase with flowers) and stucco ceiling with floral decoration; folding shutters with cupboards. In the hallway, at the division between front and rear wing, a segmental arch fascia with moulding, capitals and cartouche crown. In the upper room a wooden ceiling with geometric patterns. A 19th-century wooden staircase with intermediate landing forms the connection to the first floor. In the hallway on the first floor wooden panelled doors with frames from the time of construction of the house.
