Omschrijving
KONINGSMUUR tussen park en openbare weg. Paarse bakstenen muur, die het Hof te Dieren naar de Arnhemsestraatweg en de Doesburgsedijk afbakent. Deze muur, die van oorsprong uit de 17de eeuw dateert, verloopt vanaf de noordwesthoek van de buitenste vijver in landschapsstijl in noordelijke richting, buigt in een curve naar het westen af. Ten tijde van de aanleg van de aanleg van de Burgemeester De Bruinstraat (begin 20ste eeuw) is het beloop van de muur gewijzigd. Oorspronkelijk liep zij in een rechte hoek. In het omgeknikte gedeelte van de muur bevindt zich een dichtgemetseld poortje, waardoor men vroeger de erlangs lopende sloot kon bereiken om er in de winter ijs uit te halen voor opslag in de nabij gelegen ijskelder. Ter hoogte van de Doesburgsedijk werden grote delen van de muur in de 19de eeuw opnieuw opgetrokken.

KINGS' WALL between park and public road. Purple brick wall, which bounds the Hof te Dieren towards the Arnhemsestraatweg and the Doesburgsedijk. This wall, which originates from the 17th century, runs from the northwest corner of the outer pond in landscape style in a northerly direction, curves westward. At the time of the laying out of Burgemeester De Bruinstraat (early 20th century) the course of the wall was altered. Originally it ran at a right angle. The wall crowned by a saddle-back is articulated by pilasters and supported by low buttresses. The eastern section of the wall descends in stages to the pond. The original entrance gate to the Hof te Dieren, which interrupted the wall on the north side, is no longer present. However, the now present wooden gate, which is of recent date and of subordinate importance for the protection, is still marked at both sides by possibly 17th- or 18th-century brick piers. The point where the wall ends on the west side is marked by a pier in which niches with panels identical to the aforementioned piers are provided. All preserved pilasters and piers of the wall are provided with natural stone capping plates. In the bent-back section of the wall there is a bricked-up small gate, through which one could formerly reach the ditch running along it in order to collect ice from it in winter for storage in the nearby ice-house. At the height of the Doesburgsedijk, large parts of the wall were rebuilt in the 19th century.
