Omschrijving
Omschrijving onderdeel 4: HEKPOSTEN.
Aan weerszijden van de oprijlaan staan twee hardstenen gegroefde hekposten (1926) met op de dekplaten twee zittende schildhoudende leeuwen. Zij dragen de wapens van de families Van Verschuer (links) en Van Balveren (rechts). In horizontale doorsnede vormen de hekposten een parallellogram. Voordien stonden er twee bakstenen hekpijlers (XVIII) waarvan de funderingen nog zichtbaar zijn.
Waardering
De HEKPOSTEN, behorend tot de historische buitenplaats Leur, zijn van algemeen belang:
- wegens de ouderdom;
- wegens het type;
- wegens de functioneel en visueel ruimtelijke relatie met de andere onderdelen van de buitenplaats.

Description
Description of component 4: GATE POSTS.
On either side of the drive stand two fluted sandstone gate posts (1926) with on the coping slabs two seated lions bearing shields. They carry the coats of arms of the families Van Verschuer (left) and Van Balveren (right). In horizontal cross-section the gate posts form a parallelogram. Previously two brick gate piers (18th century) stood there, of which the foundations are still visible.
