Deze houten KARNSCHUUR uit 1857 is thans in gebruik als bergplaats. Het vrijstaande object staat ter rechter zijde van het woongedeelte van de boerderij. Oorspronkelijk liep een paard hier rondjes om een inmiddels verwijderde verticale stalen as. Het paard dreef via tandwielen en een horizontale as het roerwerk van een karnmolen aan. De houten karn stond opgesteld in de keuken van de naastgelegen boerderij.
De schuur heeft acht gelijke zijden en wordt afgesloten door een rieten tentdak. De houten wanden van gerabatte delen zijn geplaatst op een gemetselde plint. De evenwijdig aan de voorgevel van de boerderij gesitueerde zijde is voorzien van een opgeklampte dubbele deur. De houtconstructie bestaat uit acht wandstijlen die met schoren de wandstijlplaten ondersteunen. Twee dekbalken in de dwarsrichting van de schuur dragen een zoldering van planken. De rondhouten sporen van het rieten tentdak rusten op de wandplaten.

- Van architectuur- en cultuurhistorische waarde als typologisch goed en betrekkelijk zeldzaam voorbeeld van een houten achtzijdige karnschuur, waaruit het mechaniek van assen en tandwielen is verwijderd. - Van stedenbouwkundige waarde als onderdeel van een traditioneel kleinschalig boerderijcomplex dat als ensemble van belang is vanwege de hoogwaardige kwaliteit en compleetheid van de samenstellende onderdelen. Het object is gesitueerd op de grens tussen het beschermd dorpsgezicht Leur en het waardevolle landgoederen-gebied van het Huis te Leur. - Van cultuurhistorische waarde als bijzondere uitdrukking van een culturele, sociaal-economische, landschappelijke en bestuurlijke ontwikkeling; in casu het onderdeel uitmaken van de oude heerlijkheid Leur die tot op heden nog veel oude bezits- en beheerslijnen kent.

This timber CHURN BARN from 1857 is now used as storage. The freestanding object stands to the right side of the dwelling section of the farmhouse. Originally a horse walked in circles here around a now removed vertical steel shaft. The horse drove via cogwheels and a horizontal shaft the machinery of a churn mill. The timber churn was positioned in the kitchen of the adjacent farmhouse.
The barn has eight equal sides and is closed off by a thatch tent roof. The timber walls of rebated parts are placed on a rendered plinth. The side situated parallel to the front facade of the farmhouse is provided with a clamped double door. The timber construction consists of eight wall posts that with braces support the wall post plates. Two tie beams in the transverse direction of the barn carry a flooring of planks. The round timber purlins of the thatch tent roof rest on the wall plates.

- Of architectural and cultural-historical value as a typologically good and relatively rare example of a timber octagonal churn barn, from which the mechanics of shafts and cogwheels have been removed. - Of urban planning value as part of a traditional small-scale farmhouse complex which as an ensemble is of importance because of the high-quality and completeness of its constituent parts. The object is situated on the border between the protected village scenery of Leur and the valuable landed estates area of the Huis te Leur. - Of cultural-historical value as a particular expression of a cultural, socio-economic, landscape and administrative development; in this case being part of the old seigniory of Leur which to this day still retains many old ownership and management lines.
