Omschrijving onderdeel 3: POORTGEBOUW.
In 1934 werd het huidige poortgebouw gebouwd ongeveer op de plaats waar de fundamenten van het oude poortgebouw werden aangetroffen die niet werden verwijderd. Van rode baksteen opgetrokken gebouw onder met leien gedekt, iets ingezwenkt schilddak. Een in de muur gemetselde trap leidt naar de kapverdieping. Enkelvoudige balklaag. Boven de poortopening aan de buitenzijde is een balk aangebracht met 'herbouwd in 1934'.

Het POORTGEBOUW, behorend tot de historische buitenplaats Well, is van cultuurhistorisch belang:

Description
Description component 3: GATEHOUSE.
In 1934 the present gatehouse was built roughly on the site where the foundations of the old gatehouse were found, which were not removed. Building erected of red brick under a hipped roof, slightly set-back, covered with slates. A stair built into the wall leads to the roof storey. Single beam layer. Above the gate opening on the outside a beam has been set with 'rebuilt in 1934'.
