Omschrijving onderdeel 8: HERMITAGE.
Op een eilandje in de Engelmundusbeek aan de NW-zijde van het park gelegen op rechthoekige grondslag gebouwde hermitage uit ca. 1775 van één bouwlaag onder rieten kap. De licht gepleisterde voorgevel bezit een rondboogdeur en venster (aan de linker zijde). Op de hoeken twee gebinten in het zicht (zoals bij vakwerk). De drie andere gevels zijn bekleed met gepotdekselde planken. De hermitage werd in de 18de en 19de eeuw bewoond door een kluizenaar in was.
Waardering
De HERMITAGE is in cultuurhistorisch opzicht van algemeen belang:

Description
Description of component 8: HERMITAGE.
A hermitage built on a rectangular ground plan located on an islet in the Engelmundusbeek on the NW side of the park from circa 1775, one storey high under a thatched roof. The lightly rendered front gable has a round-arched door and window (on the left side). On the corners two timber frames in view (as in half-timbering). The three other gables are clad with rendered wooden boards. The hermitage was inhabited in the 18th and 19th centuries by a recluse in wax.
