Omschrijving onderdeel 4: ORANJERIE (theeschenkerij).
Ten westen van het hoofdgebouw gelegen vroeg 19de eeuwse oranjerie van één licht gepleisterde bouwlaag op rechthoekige grondslag, gedekt door een mansardekap waarop gesmoorde pannen. Aan de zuid(voor-)zijde 7 venstertraveeën met daarin Empire-vensters en bovenlichten met middenspijl en hoekvullingen. Op het zuidelijk dakvlak drie dakkapellen met kruisroeden en cirkelsegmentvormige tympanen. In de linker zijgevel hoge deuren vervangen door een houten vulling met twee eigentijdse lichtopeningen: de duimen van de gehengen zijn nog aanwezig. In de rechter zijgevel zijn de oude deuren nog gehandhaafd. De achtergevel is voorzien van een tweelaags hoge aanbouw onder schilddak en met een venster op de verdieping. Tegen de achtergevel is recent een vijfzijdige éénlaagse aanbouw geplaatst, die voor de aanleg van ondergeschikt belang is.
Na de aankoop in 1924 van de buitenplaats door de gemeente Velsen werd de oranjerie ingericht als theeschenkerij.
Waardering
De ORANJERIE is in cultuurhistorisch opzicht van algemeen belang:
- vanwege de ouderdom;
- vanwege de beeldbepalende waarde in de parkaanleg;
- vanwege de historisch-functionele waarde op de buitenplaats.

Description
Description of component 4: ORANGERY (tea house).
An early 19th century orangery situated to the west of the main building, one storey of rendered masonry on a rectangular ground plan, covered by a mansard roof with muffled tiles. On the south (front) side 7 window bays with Empire windows and fanlights with central mullion and corner infills. On the southern roof slope three dormer windows with cross glazing bars and circular segment-shaped tympana. In the left side gable high doors replaced by a wooden infill with two contemporary light openings: the pin holes of the hinges are still present. In the right side gable the old doors are still retained. The rear gable is provided with a two-storey high extension under a hipped roof and with a window on the upper storey. Against the rear gable a recently added five-sided single-storey extension has been placed, which is of minor importance to the site.
Following the acquisition in 1924 of the country estate by the municipality of Velsen, the orangery was converted into a tea house.
