Omschrijving
Omschrijving onderdeel 5: CHINESE KOEPEL.
Op achthoekige plattegrond gebouwd Chinese tuinkoepel van omstreeks 1775 onder met zink gedekt pagodedak met schulprand en in drie lagen: de ribben hebben gebogen uiteinden waaraan voorheen klokjes hebben gehangen. Voorts een houten borstwering, vensters met gebogen glasroeden en een houten paneeldeur (deze en het tegenover liggende raam hebben geen roeden). In de binnenzijde in de achtkant van de koepel en op twee panelen figuratieve schilderingen, gerestaureerd in 1985.
De koepel is gesitueerd op een glooiing aan het uiteinde van de vijverpartij in landschapsstijl ongeveer in het midden van het park.
Waardering
De CHINESE KOEPEL is in cultuurhistorisch opzicht van algemeen belang:
- als uniek voorbeeld van een Chinese tuinkoepel in een parkaanleg in vroege landschapsstijl;
- vanwege de hoge zeldzaamheidswaarde;
- vanwege de ouderdom, ornamentele en ensemblewaarde;

Description
Description of component 5: CHINESE PAVILION.
A Chinese garden pavilion built on an octagonal ground plan from around 1775 under a zinc-covered pagoda roof with scalloped edge and in three layers: the ribs have curved ends to which bells formerly hung. Furthermore a wooden balustrade, windows with curved glazing bars and a wooden panelled door (this and the opposite window have no glazing bars). On the inside in the octagon of the pavilion and on two panels figurative paintings, restored in 1985.
The pavilion is situated on a slope at the end of the pond feature in landscape style approximately in the middle of the park.
Valuation
The CHINESE PAVILION is of general importance from a cultural-historical perspective:
- as a unique example of a Chinese garden pavilion in a park layout in the early landscape style;
- due to its high rarity value;
- due to its age, ornamental and ensemble value;
- due to the rarity value of the paintings in the interior.
