Rond het huis Brakel gelegen vroeg 19de-eeuws LANDSCHAPSPARK waarin opgenomen de ruines van het Slot te Brakel (zie hiervoor onderdeel 4), de voormalige voorburcht met moestuin (zie hiervoor onderdeel 3) en het omgracht terrein met het huis 't Spijker (zie hiervoor de onderdelen 5, 6 en 7). Het tussen 1811 en 1823 tot stand gekomen landschapspark is gelegd over een 18de-eeuwse structuur die voornamelijk op het nut gericht was: een in vakken verdeeld terrein met bouw- en weilanden, boomgaarden en een moestuin. Al die utilitaire functies zijn in 1811 en volgende jaren bewust verweven met het park en maken daar deel van uit. Het park bestaat uit een aantal delen en elementen van historisch belang. Het eerste is het gebogen weiland met serpentinevijver en eilandje aan de oostkant van het huis. Vanaf de Dwarsweg is er een weids uitzicht op het huis; vanaf de ingangen van de gebogen oprijlanen is het huis aan het zicht onttrokken. Pas wanneer de bochten van de oprijlaan omgereden zijn, komt het huis als bewust gecreëerd verrassingseffect tevoorschijn. De Hoge Dreef is het rechte pad dat van de kerk naar het Huis te Brakel door het bos loopt. Vanaf het pad zijn zowel de kerk als het huis zichtbaar. Aan de westzijde van het huis ligt het romantische, dichte parkbos rond de omgrachte ruïne. In het licht geaccidenteerde bos slingeren wandelpaden op zo'n manier dat de ruïne steeds vanuit een ander gezichtspunt zichtbaar wordt. Aan de noordkant van het park ligt het in 1837 bij de aanleg opgenomen en daarmee visueel en fysiek verbonden omgrachte terrein met het middeleeuwse huis 't Spijker. Vanaf 't Spijker loopt een door een gracht begeleid en met laanbomen beplant slingerpad rond de buitenplaats. Al lopend wordt afwisselend de blik het park en de omgeving ingetrokken.

Around the house Brakel an early 19th-century LANDSCAPE PARK, incorporating the ruins of Slot Brakel (see component 4), the former outer ward with kitchen garden (see component 3) and the moated site with the house 't Spijker (see components 5, 6 and 7). The landscape park, created between 1811 and 1823, was laid out over an 18th-century structure that was primarily utilitarian in character: land divided into sections with arable and pasture land, orchards and a kitchen garden. All these utilitarian functions were deliberately woven into the park from 1811 onwards and form part of it. The park consists of several parts and elements of historical importance.
