Aan de noordzijde van de Lutmastraat gelegen WOONBLOK met ARBEIDERSWONINGEN. Aan de westzijde kopse gevel op de hoek met de Diamantstraat; aan de oostzijde aansluitend op de gevelwand van de verdere bebouwing aan de Lutmastraat. Het woonblok Lutmastraat 215-261 bestaat oorspronkelijk uit 24 arbeiderswoningen. Aaneengesloten gevelwand op geaccentueerde plint van grotendeels één bouwlaag onder dwars zadeldak met donkere rechtsdekkende Hollandse pannen. In het midden van de gevelwand en op de NW-hoek met de Diamantstraat een risalerend en hoger bouwvolume van twee bouwlagen onder zadeldak. Deze hogere bouwdelen bevatten vanaf 1893 elk twee woningen. De in hoogte variërende voorgevel telt in totaal 48 traveeën (24 deur- en 24 vensterassen) en heeft een rechte houten gootlijst boven gemetselde drievoudige uitkraging en dakkapellen boven de iets risalerende toegangspartijen. De dakkapellen hebben een gekoppeld venster en een fries boven gemetselde muurdammen waarop kroonlijst met renaissancistisch fronton met blind timpaan en drie pirons. Kleine gepleisterde klauwstukken bij de aanhechting met de gootlijst. De twee hogere bouwdelen zijn vier traveeën breed met toegangspartij met twee gekoppelde paneeldeuren met in enkele gevallen de oorspronkelijk gelede bovenlichten. Ook de middenvensters van de verdieping zijn gekoppeld. De lagere bebouwing bevat aan weerszijden van het hogere middendeel elk tien woningen. Per twee woningen zijn de voordeuren gekoppeld en bekroond door een dakkapel. Zowel links als rechts van de toegangspartijen de enkele vensters van de voorkamers. Aan de achterzijde per woning een enkel venster en toegangsdeur tot de tuin. Vensters en deuren onder segmentboog met gemetseld spaarveld. Segmentbogen en gevels gesierd met blokken en banden in gele baksteen. Aan de gevel bevinden zich muurankers en kleine vergaarbakken. Achtergevel met een enkel venster en toegangsdeur tot de tuin. De westelijke zijgevel heeft een zoldervenster, staafankers, uitkragende schouderstukken, afdeklijsten en een getrapte tuit.

A RESIDENTIAL BLOCK with WORKERS' DWELLINGS located on the north side of the Lutmastraat. On the west side a blank gable at the corner with the Diamantstraat; on the east side adjoining the gable wall of the further buildings on the Lutmastraat. The residential block Lutmastraat 215-261 originally consists of 24 workers' dwellings. Continuous gable wall on an accentuated plinth mostly of one storey under a transverse gabled roof with dark right-laid Dutch tiles. In the middle of the gable wall and on the NW corner with the Diamantstraat a projecting and higher building volume of two storeys under a gabled roof. These higher building sections have contained since 1893 each two dwellings. The gable front varying in height counts in total 48 bays (24 door and 24 window axes) and has a straight wooden gutter line above a rubble masonry triple corbelling and dormer windows above the slightly projecting entrance sections. The dormer windows have a coupled window and a frieze above rubble masonry roof tiles on which cornice with Renaissance fronton with blind tympanum and three pirons. Rear gable with a single window and access door to the garden. The western side gable has an attic window, rod anchors, overhanging shoulder pieces, cover lists and a stepped spout gable.
Valuation
Central-northern residential block with workers' dwellings from 1890-1891 of general interest because of the architectural, cultural and social-historical as well as typological value, as an essential part of the complex of the Housing Society.
