Omschrijving
Omschrijving onderdeel 2: HISTORISCHE TUIN- EN PARKAANLEG (op de bijbehorende kaart aangegeven met nummer 2).
De HISTORISCHE TUIN- EN PARKAANLEG van de buitenplaats Boschwijk dateert in oorsprong uit de 18de eeuw en kende in deze tijd een formele aanleg. De huidige tuin- en parkaanleg in landschapsstijl werd na 1783 aangelegd door de toenmalige eigenaar Rhijnvis Feith. Ten zuidoosten van het huis Boschwijk ligt het wandelpark, waarin ondermeer kunstmatige hoogten werden gecreëerd, wandelingen en een slingervijver zijn aangelegd. Over de vijver ligt een rustieke brug (uit circa 1990 en wegens te geringe ouderdom niet beschermenswaardig). Het wandelbos wordt aan de oost-zijde afgesloten door een knotlindenloofgang. Achter het huis ligt een nier-vormige vijver.
Tussen de Heinoseweg en het hoofdgebouw liggen een rechte oprijlaan en een voorplein dat wordt gevormd door een ovaal grasveld waar de oprijlaan omheen loopt. De oprijlaan is aan weerszijden voorzien van gazons en borders. De zonnewijzer op sokkel op het voorplein is wegens te geringe monumentale waarden niet beschermenswaardig.
Links van de oprijlaan (west) ligt de aan twee kanten door een moestuinmuur omgeven moestuin, waarin vier koude bakken liggen. Het meest westelijke gedeelte van de buitenplaats wordt ingenomen door het terrein waar het voormalige koetshuis staat. Vanaf de Heinoseweg loopt een kromme oprijlaan naar het koetshuis. Ten westen van het koetshuis ligt een weide die begrensd wordt door een rondlopende laan.
Waardering
De HISTORISCHE TUIN- EN PARKAANLEG behorende tot de buitenplaats Boschwijk, is van algemeen belang:
- als representatief voorbeeld van een vroege aanleg in landschapsstijl, kort na 1783 aangelegd door de toenmalige eigenaar van de buitenplaats, Rhijnvis Feith;
- vanwege het belang van de aanleg voor de tuin- en landschapsarchitectuur;
- vanwege het sfeervolle decorum dat de aanleg vormt voor de andere onderdelen van de buitenplaats.

The HISTORIC GARDEN AND PARK LAYOUT of the country estate Boschwijk originates from the 18th century and featured a formal design at that time. The present garden and park layout in landscape style was laid out after 1783 by the then owner Rhijnvis Feith. To the southeast of the house Boschwijk lies the walking park, in which among other things artificial elevations were created, walks and a winding pond were laid out. Over the pond lies a rustic bridge (from circa 1990 and not worthy of protection due to insufficient age). The walking woods are closed off on the east side by a pollard lime tree pergola. Behind the house lies a kidney-shaped pond.
Between the Heinoseweg and the main building lie a straight access road and a forecourt formed by an oval lawn around which the access road runs. The access road is provided on both sides with lawns and borders. The sundial on a plinth on the forecourt is not worthy of protection due to insufficient heritage values.
To the left of the access road (west) lies the kitchen garden surrounded on two sides by a kitchen garden wall, in which four cold frames lie. The most western part of the country estate is taken up by the site where the former coach house stands. From the Heinoseweg a curved access road runs to the coach house. To the west of the coach house lies a meadow that is bounded by a surrounding lane.
