Omschrijving onderdeel 11 (Burg. van den Boschlaan bij 63): TOMBE VAN NELLESTEYN behorend tot de historische buitenplaats Broekhuizen.
Aan de noordkant van de Rijksstraatweg ligt op de Donderberg de Tombe van Nellesteyn.
Het mausoleum en uitzichttoren is een ontwerp van J.D. Zocher jr. uit 1818 en bestaat uit twee gedeelten, een brede lage onderbouw waarin de grafkelder is ondergebracht en een hoge slanke bovenbouw, de uitzichttoren. In de onderbouw, die in de heuvel is ingegraven bevindt zich het mausoleum van het geslacht Van Nellesteyn. Aan de voorzijde hiervan is een dichtgezette rondboogtoegang met een sluitsteen waarin het jaartal 1818 is opgenomen. De onderbouw heeft een sobere versiering met een klimmend fries ter weerszijden van de toegang. De bovenbouw heeft de opzet en het uiterlijk van een Romeinse tempel. Het bestaat uit een laag basement met daarboven twee geledingen. De onderste geleding is sober en ongedecoreerd en fungeert ogenschijnlijk als sokkel voor de bovenste. Die is aan alle vier zijden op de hoeken versierd met Dorische pilasters met een kapiteel die een fries met triglyphen draagt. Aan alle vier zijden wordt het muurwerk door een fronton beëindigd. Op de hoeken zijn acroteria met gevleugelde zandlopers aangebracht. In ieder gevelvlak zit een klein venster. De bovenbouw met zijn onderdelen is van een pleisterlaag voorzien. Via een inwendige trap kan men het dak bereiken vanwaar een ver uitzicht naar de buitenplaats en het rivierengebied mogelijk was. Aan de voet van de tombe een rechthoekig, schuin aflopend terrein, door een ijzeren spijlenhek omgeven, dat als begraafplaats voor de inwoners van Darthuizen dienst deed. De tombe maakt onderdeel uit van de parkaanleg bij Broekhuizen en is met een slingerend met beuken beplant pad en een zichtlijn daarmee verbonden. Deze is ondanks een servituut van uitzicht van 1928 inmiddels dichtgegroeid.

On the north side of the Rijksstraatweg lies the Tomb of Nellesteyn on the Donderberg.
The mausoleum and viewing tower is a design by J.D. Zocher jr. from 1818 and consists of two parts, a broad low substructure in which the burial vault is housed and a tall slender superstructure, the viewing tower. In the substructure, which is built into the hill, is situated the mausoleum of the Van Nellesteyn family. On its front is a sealed round-arched entrance with a keystone in which the year 1818 is inscribed. The substructure has austere decoration with a rising frieze on either side of the entrance. The superstructure has the layout and appearance of a Roman temple. It consists of a low basement with two divisions above. The lower division is austere and undecorated and apparently serves as a base for the upper one. This is decorated on the corners of all four sides with Doric pilasters with a capital bearing a frieze with triglyphs. On all four sides the masonry is terminated by a pediment. At the corners are acroteria with winged hourglasses. In each facade panel is a small window. The superstructure with its components is finished with a coat of plaster. Via an internal staircase one could reach the roof from where a distant view over the country estate and the river region was possible. At the foot of the tomb is a rectangular sloping terrain, surrounded by an iron railing, which served as a burial ground for the inhabitants of Darthuizen. The tomb forms part of the park layout at Broekhuizen and is connected to it by a winding path planted with beech trees and a sight line. Despite a right of view servitude from 1928, this has since become overgrown.
