Inleiding
INCOMPLETE MOLEN: deze kleine ronde stenen molen met de naam 't Poeltje' is omstreeks 1787 gebouwd als poldermolen voor de bemaling van de Klaas Hennepoelpolder en was uitgerust met een vijzel als wateropvoerwerktuig. De molen heeft op dezelfde standplaats een voorganger gekend. De molen is na 1945 onttakeld, waarbij het wiekenkruis en een deel van het gaande werk werden verwijderd.
Omschrijving
De incomplete molen bestaat uit de ronde conisch gemetselde bakstenen romp en het restant van de houten kap. De incomplete molen bestaat uit drie bouwlagen. De kap was gedekt met riet, maar verkeert thans in slechte staat en is deels elders in bewaring opgeslagen.
Waardering
De incomplete molen is van algemeen belang:
- vanwege bouwtechnisch historische waarden als herkenbaar en representatief relict van een kleine ronde stenen poldermolen uit het eind van de 18e eeuw;
- vanwege cultuurhistorische waarden als essentieel onderdeel van de ontginnings- en waterstaatkundige geschiedenis van Zuid-Holland en de plaatselijke geschiedenis;
- vanwege situationele waarden betreffende de belendende waterlopen en de historische gaafheid van de polder;
- vanwege de redelijke gaafheid van de molenbiotoop;

INCOMPLETE MILL: this small round stone mill named 't Poeltje' was built around 1787 as a polder mill for the drainage of the Klaas Hennepoelpolder and was equipped with a screw pump as a water-lifting mechanism. The mill had a predecessor on the same location. The mill was dismantled after 1945, whereby the windmill sails and part of the driving machinery were removed.
Description
The incomplete mill consists of the round conically masonry brick shell and the remnant of the wooden roof structure. The incomplete mill consists of three storeys. The roof was covered with reed, but is currently in poor condition and is partly stored elsewhere.
Valuation
The incomplete mill is of general importance:
- because of its building-historical values as a recognizable and representative relic of a small round stone polder mill from the end of the 18th century;
- because of cultural-historical values as an essential part of the land reclamation and water management history of South Holland and local history;
- because of situational values concerning the adjacent watercourses and the historical integrity of the polder;
- because of the reasonable integrity of the mill biotope;
