BOSWACHTERSWONING MET TIMMERLOODS behorende tot de buitenplaats Nijenhuis.
Ten zuiden van de huisplaats ligt een voormalige boswachterswoning met timmerloods. De onderkelderde rood bakstenen woning (noordzijde) met loods (zuidzijde) bestaat uit één bouwlaag en een kapverdieping onder een schilddak, gedekt met gesmoorde Hollandse pannen. De gevels worden afgesloten door een gootlijst op klossen. In de symmetrische noordelijke eindgevel centraal de ingang in een licht getoogde portiek, gedecoreerd met wit geschilderde sluitstenen en een wit geschilderde lijst, voorafgegaan door een kleine stoep van enkele treden, begeleid door lage gemetselde rood bakstenen muurtjes met hardstenen afdekplaat; ter weerszijden van de portiek een T-venster, waarvan het bovenlicht een kleine roedenverdeling heeft; op het niveau van de kelder aan beide kanten een tweelicht; op het dak een kapel met fronton en wangen, waarin een dubbel draairaam met kleine roedenverdeling. In de westelijke zijgevel ter hoogte van de woning drie vensters als in de noordgevel, daarop aansluitend een afwijkend venster en ter hoogte van de loods een deur met meeruits bovenlicht en vier schuifvensters, waarvan het onderlicht een grote en het bovenlicht een kleine roedenverdeling heeft; op het dak twee kapellen als in de noordgevel. Tussen het eerste en het tweede venster, gerekend vanuit het noorden, een kelderingang, afgesloten door een dubbel houten luik dat op twee schuine gemetselde muurtjes rust; onder het derde venster een getralied raam als aan de voorzijde. De zuidelijke eindgevel verschaft direct toegang tot de loods. Centraal een dubbelbrede hoge deur met onregelmatige roedenverdeling; links een venster als in de westgevel met daaronder een opening afgesloten door een luik; rechts een eenvoudige toegangsdeur; op het dak een kapel als in de noordgevel. In de oostelijke zijgevel ter hoogte van de woning twee vensters als in de noordgevel en een toegangsdeur met bovenlicht, bovendien een kelderingang als aan de westzijde. Ter hoogte van de loods twee schuifvensters met kleine roedenverdeling, twee getoogde stalvensters en een klein vierkant venster; tegen de gevel zijn twee bakken gemetseld met een borstwering van circa een halve meter hoog en schuin oplopende zijwanden, mogelijk broeibakken. Halverwege de gevel een aanbouw met open zijkant. De boswachterswoning met timmerloods dateert in oorsprong vermoedelijk uit het begin van de 19de eeuw (reeds aangegeven op kaart huisarchief uit ca. 1830).

FORESTER'S DWELLING WITH CARPENTRY SHED belonging to the country estate Nijenhuis.
South of the main house plot lies a former forester's dwelling with carpentry shed. The cellared red brick dwelling (north side) with shed (south side) consists of one storey and a roof chamber under a hipped roof, covered with aged Dutch clay tiles. The facades are finished with a gutter moulding on brackets. In the symmetrical northern end facade centrally the entrance in a slightly arched porch, decorated with white painted voussoirs and a white painted moulding, preceded by a small stoep of several steps, flanked by low built-up red brick walls with stone ashlar coping; on either side of the porch a T-window, of which the fanlight has small glazing bars; at cellar level on both sides a two-light window; on the roof a hipped gable with pediment and cheeks, containing a double casement window with small glazing bars. In the western side facade at the level of the dwelling three windows as in the north facade, adjoining that a different window and at the level of the shed a door with multi-paned fanlight and four sash windows, of which the lower light has large and the upper light small glazing bars; on the roof two hipped gables as in the north facade. Between the first and second window, counted from the north, a cellar entrance, closed by a double wooden hatch resting on two sloping built-up walls; beneath the third window a barred window as at the front. The southern end facade provides direct access to the shed. Centrally a double-width tall door with irregular glazing bars; to the left a window as in the west facade with beneath it an opening closed by a hatch; to the right a simple access door; on the roof a hipped gable as in the north facade. In the eastern side facade at the level of the dwelling two windows as in the north facade and an access door with fanlight, furthermore a cellar entrance as on the west side. At the level of the shed two sash windows with small glazing bars, two arched stable windows and a small square window; against the facade are two bins built with a parapet of approximately half a metre high and sloping side walls, possibly hotbeds. Halfway along the facade an outbuilding with open side. The forester's dwelling with carpentry shed presumably dates in origin from the early 19th century (already indicated on a map from the house archives from c. 1830).
