Omschrijving Door A.W. Weissman in eclectische/neo-Hollandse-renaissance ontworpen, rechts achter de ingang van de begraafplaats vrijgelegen voormalige DIRECTEURSWONING van de Nieuwe Oosterbegraafplaats. De woning dateert van 1892. Gebouwd op samengesteld grondplan met symmetrisch de in een uitbouw gesitueerde toegang met luifel, waarnaast aan de rechterzijde een serre. Een bouwlaag en kapverdieping onder met leien gedekte kap; de rode verblendsteen afgewisseld door hardstenen banden van wisselende breedte. Rechte schuifvensters met achtruits bovenramen en siermetselwerk in rondboognissen, bestaande uit rode tegels in een patroon met geglazuurde stenen met bloemen. Geprofileerde bakstenen markeren de houten kozijnen. De top van de puntgevel is in hardsteen uitgevoerd en gedecoreerd met florale motieven in reliëf; dit geldt eveneens voor de schouderstukken van de puntgevels. In de topgevels en kapverdieping merendeels getoogde vensters. Bij de ingang bevindt zich een hardstenen stoep. Links van de toegang bevindt zich één venster. De linkerzijgevel heeft één venster. Designed by A.W. Weissman in eclectic/neo-Dutch Renaissance style, freely situated to the right behind the entrance of the cemetery, former DIRECTOR'S RESIDENCE of the Nieuwe Oosterbegraafplaats. The residence dates from 1892. Built on a complex floor plan with symmetrically the entrance situated in an extension with a canopy, beside which on the right side a conservatory. One storey and roof storey under roof covered with slate; the red facing brick alternated by bands of sandstone of varying width. Straight sash windows with frosted upper panes and ornamental brickwork in round arch recesses, consisting of red tiles in a pattern with glazed tiles with flowers. Profiled bricks mark the wooden frames. The top of the gable is executed in sandstone and decorated with floral motifs in relief; this also applies to the shoulders of the gables. In the gables and roof storey mostly arched windows. At the entrance there is a sandstone step. To the left of the entrance there is one window. The left side facade has one window. The right side facade facing the water along the Kruislaan has a window beneath the gable and a window in the rear wing.
