Omschrijving
Het PORTIERSGEBOUW van de Zuidergasfabriek in overgangsarchitectuur heeft een vierkante plattegrond, is opgetrokken in baksteen en staat op een hoge hardstenen plint. Decoratief gebruik van gemetselde band en fries. Het gebouw wordt bekroond door een overstekend tentdak met leien bedekt en met ingezwenkte dakvoet en dakkapellen en schoorsteen. In de afgeschuinde zuidelijke hoek de ingang onder een constructie met gesneden schoren op natuurstenen consoles. In elke gevel een drieledige vensterpartij met bovenlichten.

The PORTER'S LODGE of the Zuidergasfabriek in transitional architecture has a square floor plan, is built in brick and stands on a high sandstone plinth. Decorative use of brick banding and frieze. The building is crowned by an overhanging hipped roof covered with slate and with curved eaves and roof dormers and chimney. In the bevelled southern corner the entrance beneath a construction with cut braces on natural stone consoles. In each facade a three-part window grouping with fanlights.
Valuation
Porter's lodge constructed in the period 1907-1913 and of general importance owing to its architectural history and typological value and as a historically-functional component of the Zuidergasfabriek complex.
