Omschrijving
Voormalig REGULATEURGEBOUW uit 1909-1910, met één hoge bouwlaag ter diepte van zeven traveeën opgetrokken op rechthoekige plattegrond onder leien zadeldak tussen puntgevels in utilitaire eclectische trant. Het gebouw is opgetrokken in baksteen met spaarvelden rondom, lisenen en accenten in natuur- en gele siersteen; de hoge vensters zijn per twee gekoppeld en voorzien van meerruits bovenlichten; in de puntvormige eindgevels klimmend tandfries en één rond venster met glas-in-lood raamvulling; natuurstenen afdekplaten en ronde bekroning met reliëf. Dakkapellen met piron telkens twee per dakvlak. Boven de toegang - gelegen aan het kleine binnenterrein tussen regulateurgebouw en meterhuis - bevindt zich een natuurstenen gevelsteen met 'regulateurs'. Het interieur heeft nog de oorspronkelijke kapconstructie; ook de wanden zijn nog oorspronkelijk.

Description
Former REGULATOR BUILDING from 1909-1910, with one tall storey extending to a depth of seven bays erected on a rectangular plan under slate gabled roof between pointed gables in utilitarian eclectic style. The building is erected in brick with spared fields around, pilasters and accents in natural and yellow decorative stone; the tall windows are coupled in pairs and provided with multi-pane fanlights; in the pointed end gables climbing dentil frieze and one round window with leaded glass window filling; natural stone coping plates and round coping with relief. Roof dormers with Picardy tiles two per roof plane. Above the entrance - located at the small inner courtyard between regulator building and meter house - is situated a natural stone foundation stone with 'regulateurs'. The interior still has the original roof truss structure; the walls too are still original.
Valuation
Regulator building from 1909-1910 in utilitarian eclectic style of general significance due to its architectural-historical and typological value, further significant for the history of technology and as a historical-functional component of the Zuidergasfabriek complex.
