Omschrijving
Ten noordwesten van het poortgebouw wordt de buitengracht ter hoogte van de poort overbrugd door een eenvoudige rood bakstenen boogBRUG. Het met klinkers bestrate brugdek wordt begeleid door een eenvoudige gietijzeren balustrade. De brug dateert in haar huidige vorm vermoedelijk uit de 18de eeuw, maar gaat vrijwel zeker terug op een ouder exemplaar, want de toegangslaan die over de brug en onder het poortgebouw door tot op het voorplein voert bestond reeds in 1603.
Waardering
De BRUG behorende tot de buitenplaats Rhijnauwen is van algemeen belang:

Description
North-west of the gatehouse, the outer moat at the level of the gate is spanned by a simple red brick arched BRIDGE. The bridge deck, paved with clinker bricks, is accompanied by a simple cast iron balustrade. The bridge in its present form dates presumably from the 18th century, but almost certainly goes back to an older example, as the access drive that crosses the bridge and passes under the gatehouse to the forecourt already existed in 1603.
