Omschrijving
Voor het poortgebouw (zuidoost) staat op het voorplein een rood bakstenen DUIVENTOREN van twee bouwlagen onder een afgetopt schilddak, gedekt met gesmoorde Hollandse pannen. De toren heeft een nagenoeg vierkante plattegrond en is rondom voorzien van verschillende vensters met kleine roedenverdeling, een getoogde toegangsdeur en een voormalige dubbele inrijdeur (thans voorzien van glas, met een kleinere centrale toegangsdeur, de oorspronkelijke deuren zijn behouden als luiken). Op de scheiding van de beide bouwlagen is een houten waterlijst aangebracht. De duiventoren dateert uit de 18de eeuw.

De DUIVENTOREN behorende tot de buitenplaats Rhijnauwen is van algemeen belang:

Description
In front of the gatehouse (south-east) on the forecourt stands a red brick DOVECOTE of two storeys under a hipped roof, covered with pantiles. The tower has an approximately square ground plan and is provided all around with various windows with small glazing bars, an arched entrance door and a former double entry door (now fitted with glass, with a smaller central entrance door, the original doors are retained as shutters). On the division between the two storeys a wooden drip moulding is installed. The dovecote dates from the 18th century.

The DOVECOTE belonging to the country estate Rhijnauwen is of general interest:
