Inleiding
Bakstenen KARSCHOP, behorend bij het landgoed Sterrebos, gelegen dwars achter de achtergevel van de boerderij, daarvan gescheiden door een zandweg. Opgetrokken in Ambachtelijk traditionele trant, XIX.
Omschrijving
Dwarsgeplaatste bakstenen karschop met gepotdekselde geveltoppen en zadeldak met rode Hollandse golfpannen. Houten windveren. Twee houten luikjes in de rechter zijgevel, die sporen van bepleistering draagt, wijzen op gelijktijdig gebruik als varkensschuur en/of paardenstal. De oorspronkelijk open stalling is afgedicht met golfplaat.
Waardering
Het KARSCHOP uit XIX is van algemeen belang. Het object heeft cultuurhistorische waarde als voorbeeld van een karschop, behorend bij een boerderij op een landgoed. Het heeft architectuurhistorische waarde vanwege de in- en uitwendig betrekkelijk gaaf behouden hoofdstructuur en het traditionele materiaalgebruik. Het object maakt samen met een landhuis, een bijbehorende tuinfolly, een boerderij en een bakhuis deel uit van het landgoed Sterrebos, waardoor het ensemblewaarde met grote landschappelijke betekenis heeft.

Brick CART SHED, belonging to the Sterrebos estate, located across behind the rear facade of the farmhouse, separated from it by a sand road. Built in traditional craftsman manner, 19th century.
Description
Transversely positioned brick cart shed with potted roof ridge cappings and gabled roof with red Dutch roof tiles. Wooden weather vanes. Two wooden shutters in the right side facade, which bears traces of plasterwork, indicate contemporary use as a pigsty and/or horse stable. The originally open stalling has been sealed with corrugated sheet.
Valuation
The CART SHED from the 19th century is of general importance. The object has cultural-historical value as an example of a cart shed belonging to a farmhouse on an estate. It has architectural-historical value due to the relatively well-preserved main structure both inside and outside and the traditional use of materials. The object together with a manor house, an associated garden folly, a farmhouse and a bakehouse form part of the Sterrebos estate, whereby it has ensemble value with considerable landscape significance.
