Omschrijving onderdeel 3: Steenovensebaan 29 A kleine schuur.
Inleiding
Evenwijdig aan de langgevelboerderij staat een kleine schuur op rechthoekige plattegrond met jongveestal en hooizolder. De schuur is opgetrokken in Ambachtelijk-traditionele trant en dateert waarschijnlijk uit XIXA.
Omschrijving
De kleine schuur heeft een bakstenen voeting met geteerde gepotdekselde en gerabatte wanden. Het schilddak, dat is gedekt met rode Hollandse pannen op strodokken, rust op drie eiken ankerbalkgebinten waarop eenvoudige spanten met nokgording. De belangrijkste toegang wordt gevormd door een grote korfboog met dubbele deuren en oude gehengen. Diverse deuren en wit geschilderde vensters van verschillend formaat. Inwendig is de oude stalindeling ten behoeve van kleinvee nog aanwezig. Hooizolder op slieten.
Waardering
De kleine schuur, waarschijnlijk uit XIXA is van algemeen belang. Zij heeft cultuurhistorische waarde als voorbeeld van een streekeigen schuurtype. Zij heeft architectuurhistorische waarde wegens de in- en uitwendig gaaf bewaard gebleven hoofdstructuur, de harmonische verhoudingen en ambachtelijk toegepaste traditionele bouwmaterialen. De kleine schuur heeft in combinatie met de bijbehorende langgevelboerderij en Vlaamse schuur ensemblewaarde en tevens als onderdeel van de historisch-ruimtelijke context van de buurtschap Steenoven.

Introduction
Parallel to the long-gabled farmhouse stands a small barn on rectangular plan with young cattle stall and hayloft. The barn is built in traditional craft manner and probably dates from the first half of the 19th century.
Description
The small barn has a brick base with tarred, boarded and cement-rendered walls. The hipped roof, which is covered with red Dutch tiles on straw underlay, rests on three oak anchor beam trusses upon which simple roof trusses with ridge beam sit. The principal access is formed by a large corbel arch with double doors and old hinges. Various doors and white-painted windows of different sizes. Internally the old stall arrangement for small livestock is still present. Hayloft on sleepers.
Valuation
The small barn, probably from the first half of the 19th century, is of general importance. It has cultural-historical value as an example of a regional barn type. It has architectural-historical value because of the internally and externally well-preserved main structure, the harmonious proportions and traditional building materials applied in craft manner. The small barn has in combination with the associated long-gabled farmhouse and Flemish barn ensemble value and also as part of the historic-spatial context of the hamlet of Steenoven.
