Omschrijving onderdeel 2: bij Steenovensebaan 29, Vlaamse schuur.
Inleiding
Haaks op de langgevelboerderij en enigszins schuin ten opzichte van de straat staat een VLAAMSE SCHUUR met langsdeel. De schuur is opgetrokken in Ambachtelijk-traditionele trant met streekeigen kenmerken en dateert waarschijnlijk uit XIXA.
Omschrijving
De Vlaamse schuur heeft 4 complete eiken ankerbalkgebinten met schoren. De dekbalk is, vanaf de straat gezien, zoals gebruikelijk rechts als ankerbalk, maar links opgelegd en overstekend uitgevoerd. Het samengestelde rieten schilddak is ter plaatse van de deeldeuren aan de straatzijde opgelicht. Aan de tegenoverliggende kant zijn de deeldeuren vervangen door een kalkzandstenen muur met deur en vierdelig liggend betonvenster. Secundair is een dwarsdeel gemaakt. De lange zijgevels van de Vlaamse schuur zijn later in baksteen met o.a. betonvensters vernieuwd. De gevel aan de straatzijde is gerabat. De oude stalindeling is nog geheel aanwezig. Hooizolder op slieten.
Waardering
De Vlaamse schuur, waarschijnlijk uit XIXA, is van algemeen belang. Zij heeft cultuurhistorische waarde als voorbeeld van een streekeigen schuurtype. Zij heeft architectuurhistorische waarde wegens de in- en uitwendig gaaf bewaard gebleven hoofdstructuur, de harmonische verhoudingen en ambachtelijk toegepaste traditionele bouwmaterialen. De Vlaamse schuur heeft in combinatie met de bijbehorende langgevelboerderij en kleine schuur ensemblewaarde en tevens als onderdeel van de historisch-ruimtelijke context van de buurtschap Steenoven. De Vlaamse schuur is straatbeeldbepalend.

At right angles to the long-gabled farmhouse and somewhat angled to the street stands a FLEMISH BARN with longitudinal section. The barn is built in traditional craft manner with regional characteristics and probably dates from the first half of the 19th century.
Description
The Flemish barn has 4 complete oak anchor beam trusses with braces. The tie beam is, viewed from the street, as is customary on the right as anchor beam, but on the left is laid and executed as oversailing. The assembled thatched hipped roof is raised at the location of the split doors facing the street. On the opposite side the split doors have been replaced by a calcium silicate brick wall with door and four-part horizontal concrete window. Secondarily a transverse section was made. The long side facades of the Flemish barn were later renewed in brickwork with among others concrete windows. The facade facing the street is cement-rendered. The old stall arrangement is still entirely present. Hayloft on sleepers.

The Flemish barn, probably from the first half of the 19th century, is of general importance. It has cultural-historical value as an example of a regional barn type.
