Inleiding
Voormalig MAGAZIJNGEBOUW uit het begin van de twintigste eeuw, onderdeel van het complex Pompstation Gemeentewaterleidingen Amsterdam, geheel vrijstaand en haaks op de noordgevel van het pompgebouw gelegen, aan de oostelijke rand van het voorterrein van het complex.
Omschrijving
Magazijngebouw op een samengesteld rechthoekig grondplan met één tot twee bouwlagen boven het maaiveld en onder zadeldaken met blauwgrijze kruispannen. Het gebouw is samengesteld uit een in totaal acht traveeën breed hoofdgebouw met hoger middendeel en een in het verlengde liggende lagere vleugel aan de zuidzijde. Tegen de oostgevel nog een lagere aanbouw onder plat dak. De daken hebben een overstek met bewerkte gordingkoppen en houten beschot. De lagere delen van het hoofdgebouw hebben aan de voor- en achterzijde een dakkapel met ingestoken kap, die de overstek met gootlijst doorbreekt. Hierin een breed getoogd venster met stijlen en tussendorpel en meerruits raamvulling.
Gemetselde gevels in roodbruine baksteen in afwisselend koppen- en strekkenlagen en kruisverband en op donkere plint. Gebruik van natuursteen bij de afgeschuinde benedendorpels, aanzetstenen van de segmentbogen boven vensters en deuren, en hoekstenen van de plint. De voor- en achtergevels van de lagere delen van het hoofdgebouw hebben een gemetseld en uitkragend tandfries waarin opgenomen de accentuering in het metselwerk onder de kapellen. De zijgevels hebben een getrapt oplopend gemetseld en uitkragend fries. De licht getoogde vensters hebben een middenstijl en tussendorpel: in de zuidelijke vleugel met twee zesruits ramen met twee vierruits bovenlichten met tuimelraam; in het hoofdgebouw op de begane grond twee dito vensters met twee twaalfruits ramen met twee zesruits bovenlichten en op de verdieping dito vensters met respectievelijk negen- en zesruits geleding. Aan de zuidzijde in de geveltop van het hoofdgebouw en vleugel een rond venster met respectievelijk zes- en vierruits roedenverdeling. Toegangen met dubbele openslaande deuren met lichten in de westgevel van het hogere middendeel en in de noordelijke en zuidelijke zijgevel van het hoofdgebouw. Verder een toegangsdeur met lichten in de achtergevel van de vleugel en paneeldeur en kleinere vensters in de achteraanbouw. De noordelijke zijgevel heeft in de top een met stijlen en tussendorpel gelede vensterpartij met hoog en dubbel hijsluik en hijsbalk.

Description
Warehouse building on a composite rectangular ground plan with one to two storeys above ground level and under gabled roofs with blue-grey roof tiles. The building is composed of in total eight bays wide main building with higher central section and a lower wing lying in continuation on the south side. Against the east facade still a lower extension under flat roof. The roofs have an overhang with worked beam ends and wooden boarding. The lower parts of the main building have on the front and rear a roof dormer with recessed roof, which breaks through the overhang with gutter line. In this a broad arched window with mullions and transom and multi-light sash filling.
Mortared facades in reddish-brown brick in alternating header and stretcher courses and cross bond and on dark plinth. Use of natural stone at the chamfered window sills, setting stones of the segmental arches above windows and doors, and corner stones of the plinth. The front and rear facades of the lower parts of the main building have a mortared and projecting tooth frieze in which incorporated the accentuation in the brickwork under the dormers. The slightly arched windows have a central mullion and transom: in the southern wing with two six-light casements with two four-light fanlights with tilt window; in the main building on the ground floor two similar windows with two twelve-light casements with two six-light fanlights and on the floor similar windows with respectively nine- and six-light division. On the south side in the gable top of the main building and wing a round window with respectively six- and four-light glazing bars. Entrances with double opening doors with lights in the west facade of the higher central section and in the northern and southern side gable of the main building. Furthermore an entrance door with lights in the rear facade of the wing and panel door and smaller windows in the rear extension. The northern side gable has in the top a window arrangement divided with mullions and transom with high and double hoist shutter and hoist beam.
