Op het voorterrein in de middenas van het pompgebouw geheel vrijstaand gelegen octogonaal WINDKETELGEBOUW (expansiehuis) uit 1897-1899, onderdeel van het complex Pompstation Gemeentewaterleidingen Amsterdam.
Omschrijving
Windketelgebouw van één bouwlaag onder overstekend tentdak met gootrand en bekroond door open smeedijzeren pijnappel. Gemetselde gevels in bruinrode baksteen in afwisselend koppen- en strekkenverband en per gevel alternerend een hoog en getoogd en in oorsprong 18-ruits venster, of een getoogde blindnis onder segmentbogen. Verder een gemetselde omlopende waterlijst en uitkragend topfries; een insnoering boven de sokkel met natuurstenen accenten en afgeschuinde benedendorpels. De aansluiting van de gevelvlakken wordt in het metselwerk geaccentueerd met een vlakke tandlijst. Eenvoudige toegang onder segmentboog aan de noordzijde. Op de kap een sierlijke ijzeren bekroning.

Voormalig windketelgebouw van algemeen belang vanwege de industrieel-archeologische en typologische waarden, alsmede van belang als historisch-functioneel onderdeel van het complex Pompstation Gemeentewaterleidingen van Amsterdam.

Description
Windketel house of one storey under overhanging bell roof with gutter edge and crowned by open wrought-iron pine cone. Mortared facades in red-brown brick in alternating header and stretcher bond and per facade alternating a high and arched and originally 18-light window, or an arched blind opening under segmental arches. Furthermore a mortared continuous drip moulding and projecting top frieze; an indentation above the plinth with natural stone accents and chamfered window sills. The junction of the facade planes is accentuated in the brickwork with a flat tooth moulding. Simple entrance under segmental arch on the north side. On the roof a graceful iron crown.
Valuation
Former windketel house of general importance due to industrial-archaeological and typological values, as well as of importance as a historical-functional component of the Pompstation complex Amsterdam Municipal Water Works.
