Omschrijving onderdeel 4: SCHUUR.
Inleiding
Vrijstaande SCHUUR (1834) onderdeel van de historische buitenplaats het Medler gelegen op het westelijke eiland, opgetrokken in steen en hout, bestaande uit een bouwlaag met rechthoekige plattegrond afgesloten door een afgewolfd zadeldak deels gedekt met pannen, deels met riet.
Omschrijving
In de voorgevel bevindt zich centaal een dubbele deuropening met rondboog. In de opening dubbele naar buiten draaiende houten deuren. In de rondboog een sluitsteen met daarop het jaartal 1834. Aan weerszijden van de deur een halfrond staand ijzeren venster met vierruits roedenverdeling. Centraal boven de deur een hooiluik waarboven een hijsluik. De gevel wordt afgesloten door vlechtwerk met windveren aan weerszijden. Boven de deur vier regelmatig verdeelde muurankers. Het rechter deel van de linker zijgevel is opgetrokken in steen met een drietal raamopeningen, het linker deel bestaat uit verticaal houten latwerk op bakstenen muur. De rechter zijgevel bestaat in zijn geheel uit verticale houten delen.
Waardering
De vrijstaande SCHUUR (1834), onderdeel van de historische buitenplaats het Medler gelegen op het westelijke eiland, is van algemeen belang:
- als goed voorbeeld van een 19e-eeuwse schuur deels opgetrokken in steen, deels in hout met zorgvuldig materiaalgebruik en een eenvoudig sober karakter;
- vanwege de functioneel ruimtelijke relatie van de schuur met de overige onderdelen van de buitenplaats.

Introduction
Freestanding BARN (1834) component of the historic country estate Het Medler located on the western island, erected in stone and wood, consisting of one storey with a rectangular ground plan closed off by a curved gabled roof partly covered with tiles, partly with thatch.
Description
In the front facade is centrally a double door opening with a round arch. In the opening double outward-opening wooden doors. In the round arch a keystone with the date 1834 on it. On either side of the door a semicircular standing iron window with four-pane glazing bars. Centrally above the door a hay loft opening with above it a lifting hatch. The facade is finished with wattle with wind braces on either side. Above the door four regularly distributed wall anchors. The right part of the left side facade is erected in stone with three window openings, the left part consists of vertical wooden latticework on a brick wall. The right side facade consists entirely of vertical wooden sections.
Valuation
The freestanding BARN (1834), component of the historic country estate Het Medler located on the western island, is of general interest:
