Omschrijving onderdeel 5: BRUG met PIJLERS en HEKKEN behorende tot de buitenplaats Nieuw Amelisweerd.
Ten noordwesten van het hoofdgebouw wordt de oprijlaan over de Kromme Rijn geleid via een houten brug met wit geschilderde decoratieve gietijzeren brugleuningen. De vormgeving van de brug gaat terug tot circa 1860. In de Tweede Wereldoorlog werd de brug door de Duitsers opgeblazen. Na de oorlog werd hij hersteld. Aan de kant van het huis wordt het bruggenhoofd gemarkeerd door een stel hardstenen pijlers op rechthoekige grondslag, waarvan de hoeken afgeschuind zijn. De pijlers zijn horizontaal in drieën geleed en worden bekroond door een bol. De bovenste twee segmenten hebben verdiepte velden voorzien van een geschulpt patroon. Links en rechts van respectievelijk de linker en de rechter pijler is een waaiervormig hekwerk aangebracht. De pijlers dateren vermoedelijk uit het midden van de 19de eeuw, de hekken zijn mogelijk van latere datum.

Description component 5: BRIDGE with PIERS and GATES belonging to the country estate Nieuw Amelisweerd.
To the northwest of the main building the drive is led over the Kromme Rijn via a wooden bridge with white-painted decorative cast-iron bridge railings. The design of the bridge dates back to circa 1860. During the Second World War the bridge was blown up by the Germans. After the war it was restored. At the house side the bridge abutment is marked by a set of hard stone piers on a rectangular ground plan, the corners of which are bevelled. The piers are horizontally divided into three sections and are crowned by a ball. The upper two segments have recessed fields provided with a carved pattern. To the left and right of the left and right pier respectively, fan-shaped ironwork has been installed. The piers presumably date from the middle of the 19th century, the gates may be of later date.
