SHOP-HOUSE, originally a falconer's house, known as "Leyenhuysinge" and dating from 1664. Modified in the second half of the 19th century and converted to a shop around 1925. Description

Single-storey building with gabled roof between spout gables, swept Dutch pantiles on the front roof slope, mixed with red on the back roof slope. On the rear side an old right-angled extension under lower-set gabled roof with Mulde pantiles, attached and with half-hipped end. The building is built above a plastered plinth of large-format hand-moulded brick (22/22.5 x 10.5/11 x 5/5.5 cm) in cross bond with decorative headers. In the centre a renewed front door (shop door) with 9-pane fanlight of yellow glass in a plastered surround. To the right two windows with T-frames (sash windows), the fanlight 8-pane, on both sides 3 inches, stone sills. On the left a large display window with tripartite fanlight; in each section 6 panes with yellow glass. Plastered surround. Far left a upper room window with 8-pane fanlight and two casement windows in place of an original sash window. Inches, sandstone sill. Below a barred cellar window with 2-pane window, a semicircular relieving arch with stretchers, covered by headers on their flat. Wrought iron cramp anchors forming the year 1664. Gutter on wooden brackets. On the left, between the present building and the neighbouring building, a wall with gate built from reused hand-moulded brick around 1990 of the same height as the front facade, which partly conceals a transparent connecting passage. The left side facade is a spout gable and has wattles, springing stones and a top pilaster. Wrought iron cramp anchors. On the left and right at loft level traces of small windows. On the left a large window, in the middle a new opening for a transparent connecting passage with the neighbouring building. The right side facade is in layout nearly identical.
