Omschrijving
Omschrijving onderdeel 5: (op de bijbehorende kaart aangegeven met nr. 5) ENTREEHEK met SCHAMPPALEN behorende tot de buitenplaats Boom en Bosch. De toegang tot de buitenplaats wordt gemarkeerd door twee zandsteenkleurige pijlers met rusticamotief, beëindigd door een fries van acanthusblad en een geprofileerde afdekplaat. Beide pijlers dragen een wapenschild en een deel van de naam Boom en Bosch in zwarte letters. Tussen de pijlers een modern dubbel spijlenhek (voor de bescherming van ondergeschikt belang). Aan de buitenzijde van de pijlers twee ornamentele, smeedijzeren vleugelstukken. Aan de Markt-zijde staat voor de hekpijlers een stel hardstenen schamppalen, samen dragen zij het jaartal 1847. Het hek dateert uit het midden van de 18de eeuw, de schamppalen vermoedelijk uit 1847.

Description
Description component 5: (indicated on the accompanying map with no. 5) ENTRANCE GATE with BOLLARDS belonging to the country estate Boom en Bosch. The entrance to the country estate is marked by two sandstone-coloured pillars with rusticated motif, terminated by a frieze of acanthus leaf and a profiled coping plate. Both pillars bear a coat of arms and part of the name Boom en Bosch in black letters. Between the pillars a modern double bar gate (for protective purposes of minor importance). On the outside of the pillars two ornamental, wrought-iron wing pieces. On the Market side, in front of the gate pillars, stands a pair of hardstone bollards, which together bear the date 1847. The gate dates from the mid-18th century, the bollards presumably from 1847.
